All around Player?

What do you guys think of bringing in an all around player for things like qtrback, safety, reciever, runningback, and special teams for a very small price tag ... How about Syvelle Newton ? He does very well at all but since he was 2 big of a team player and i mean by that he had 18 passing touchdowns for 2456 yards ...10 rushing touchdowns for 742 yards ...20 tackles in 2 games of playing safety with a few qtr back hurries .. 3 recieving touchdowns with 396 yards.. runs a solid 4.5-6 his only problem was he was too big of a team player and they couldnt find out what posistion for him to play , he prefers qtrback however .. The boy just does not give up he will do anything for his team which is why everyone loved to watch him at south carolina hes an explosive player, Highlight video here

Cut someone that's good at one thing for one that's a master of none? No thanks

Well lets say quintan teal and whoever the last reciever will be arnt playing well .. You throw someone in there who will do his very best to help his team , ( realistically this could only happen in a hellhole situation but still crap happens) it even said on the video comments and this is true , The guy messed up his Nfl career because he cared more about helping his team the best he could , why would you not want a leader like that in your system?

thats essentially what he does ... he didnt get drafted in 06 , played cfl was offered starting wr job but felt he could pursue the Qb posistion with another team now he just got screwed up the butt once again by a football association with the suspension of the Arena football league for which he played for the harrisburg stampede.. life just gets better and better eh?

The reporter asks a good question, especially in light of all the Jalen Ramsey rumors.  To me, the big questions concerned depth players Evans and Bartholomew.  As for the UDFA, I have been waiting to hear about Thornton and Reid, but there does not seem to have been a lot of urgency to draft a CB or bring in a free agent.  Morgan basically re-signed Jackson and locked up Horn.  A few highlights from the article: Canales mentioned Evans, Bartholomew, and Thornton by name.  He seems satisfied that Evans and Bartholomew are the key reserves.  Thornton, based on reading tea leaves about his comments, has flashed, but might be on the outside looking in.  Personally, in the limited action Evans and Bartholomew played last season, I was optimistic, and it seems Canales feels the same. He mentions that Smith-Wade is playing inside and outside.  If he steps up, that is good news.  It seems as though they really like Jackson because Canales seemed to focus on CB depth in his answer.  Coaches have to be careful answering questions like this one--If the coach mentions your name, great, but if he does not, it hurts morale.  If he says, "We'd like to upgrade the position" it can also hinder motivation.   Canales did not mention SDSU CB Mike Reid. IN RELATED NEWS I recently read that the Canales likes the battle between Ransom and Richardson for the other safety position beside Moehrig.  Not sure we will be upgrading that position at this time. Remember, the DBs play better when the front 7 plays better. PROJECTED DB ROSTER ENTERING CAMP CB: Horn, Jackson, Smith-Wade, Bartholomew, Evans--Practice Squad Candidates:  Thornton, Reid S: Moehrig, Ransom, Richardson, xxxxxx- I expect Henderson, Gifford, or Thomas (all UDFAs) will battle Scott for the final safety position.
    • Yet the lyrics in their music has a "bad" word every other word.
    • Richardson availablity is hindering his development. I liked him as well and thought a good QB coach could help him.  I am glad they didn't take my advice. 😀
