My middle age son is in 6th grade and wanted to know if this is protocol with other schools. He's only allowed to go to his locker one time during the day and also not allowed to carry a backpack during the day. They say that they could carry a weapon in the backpack so this is the reason behind that. Just seems a little overboard on the rule about backpacks.

I finished 9th grade in 2008 I think and went to school in Spartanburg. Everyone could carry their bags whenever they wanted and you had about 5 minutes in between classes to go to your locker. So I'd call it pretty odd and extreme. 2 of my cousins are in middle school in Raleigh and they don't have that "rule" either.

Seems extreme to me also. Guess there trying to be proactive.

The biggest bitching I here is that lunch sucks sooooo bad this year from all my kids and they blame Michelle Obama for it, The lunch program is now meant to be healthier my 1 kid said lunch was plain rice, nasty grilled cheese and 3 green beans and a milk. My kids love grilled cheese but said it was odd feeling in his mouth and he spit it out. My kids never complained until now. I have to pack a lunch cause they wont eat this poo.

      I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

      Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
