Let Cam Sit This Week

And there folks is another Huddler going full retard. That must mean Game Day is just around the corner.

To an extent he is right, concerning short-mid range passes DA is very comparable to Cam. Or perhaps his quickness in going through his reads seem like it. As far and longer passing and arm strength however I think Cam wins that one. DA really is a great backup, more than Cam being a bad passer, that's a good thing and I don't see why any Panther fan would have a problem with this.

yea guy, just watch the press video of Ron on the website.  he said Cam came out and after stretching decided he needed to visit with the training staff.  but hey, its the huddle.  no one here has anything to lose.

No one here has a medical degree either as far as I know.

Like I said, from the beginning we have heard that he would be sore. He practiced 2 days ago and looked okay. Some days are going to be better than others, it's an injury, and it's going to take time. But the huddle unfortunately cannot seem to properly process this information.

Thank you for seeing that. Its not like we throw an untold number of bombs 40+ yards down field anyway...so the arm strength is really a non-issue.

This isn't the Seahawks we're facing. It's the Buccaneers with Josh McCown at starting QB. This game will be the battle of the defenses and run game.

Fair point, but you are grossly underestimating the value of a QB that has taken all the snaps with 1st team during the training camp and preseason and established a chemistry with them and the passing offense designed to work on his strengths.

Derek Anderson does not have that advantage McCown has, and even he, like in McCown's case, is lacking a proper O-line to protect him or help you run the ball, on top of not having enough weapons on offense.

Sorry to hurt your fandom ego, but it is not even a 50-50 contest with DA. You are grossly underestimating Buccaneers defense and also a healthy Cam's value to your team even if he does not put up stats.

That's a really well thought out and explained argument with in depth professional analysis you have provided there. Thank you.

you posts dont warrant any of that.

do you think the plan for yesterday was for Cam just to stretch and leave or to actually practice?  does anyone need to be a medical professional to understand what a fractured rib is and how it limits movement and it may be painful?  but please dont answer, nothing is worse than getting a notification that "TheRed has quoted a post you made"

There really isn't any "plan" that can be made for this type of injury other than taking basic precautions.

I already went over this with you in another post, but you completely removed and bypassed that information when you quoted me.

At the end of the day, Cam knows better than any of us what he is experiencing. He said he felt the day would be better served getting treatment. Suddenly many on the huddle take that as that he won't or shouldn't play. Of course he said nothing like that, but hey, carry on.
