Panther Realities, Week 1

Derek Anderson is capable of taking this team wherever it needs to go - What a luxury for the Panthers.

No he isn't. He showed during this game that he does not have longevity. He will get worse the longer he plays. Cam tends to get better as the season progresses.

Still would prefer to see Cam sit out next week, too, though.

No rush. 1-0 buys you another week.

Um this is a good win. Everybody expected us to lose with Cam and we went out there and won without him. There is some work to do still obviously but I feel pretty good right now.

Not everybody.

You can win with Anderson for one week. If Cam sits out next week, they'll probably lose, but 1-0 allows him to sit next week, so he should. No need to rush it.

I love how the moronic Chris Myers kept saying the Buc fans were booing all the time, when half the time it was our fans in RJS screaming LUUUUUKKKKEEEE!

Also, sick of Ronde blabbering on about how hot it was and how TB was trying to wear us out.  I grew up in the TB area, and let me tell you, Spartanburg in late July and August is just as hot and humid as the TB area, minus the seabreeze that forms afternoon t-storms almost every afternoon down there.

umm if we score 17-24 and allow 14 how is that not a good thing?

Every Day I'm Huddlin'

Because you will not allow 14 every week and you are giving the other team "a chance" to win every week even AFTER pitching a complete shutout for 3 and a half quarters as we so clearly saw today. TB should have been dead in the hole with ZERO chance of winning that game midway through the 4th quarter. We can thank TB's S for dropping an easy INT TD to give them the lead and most likely the win late.

What is wrong with averaging 27-31?

    • I love Chubba.  Been a fan since I heard about his story when he was at Ok St.  and no doubt his production and progression is impressive, but this is my one nitpick - he was always touted for his speed, having come from a track background, so I am honestly surprised he doesn’t have more breakaway runs for TDs than what he has achieved thus far.  But to be fair, it often feels like he is constantly having to break tackles, so when he breaks the last one where it would just be nothing between him and the end zone, that usually took long enough that a defender from the opposite side of the field got an angle to catch up.  I really hope with the receiver additions, Bryce moving forward with confidence and proving that ending stretch last season wasn’t an aberration, and another year of synergy for the OL, Chubba is gonna have some wide open running this season.  He is definitely special.  Proud of him and happy he is getting rewarded for all his hard work…
    • Didn't i say passing other cars?
    • If you're in the left lane, look to the right. Is there someone beside you? Are you soon overtaking someone in the right lane immediately ahead of you? No and no? Then get the fug over. That's how it's supposed to work. Doesn't matter if you're going 100.
