A loaded team does not a good team make. See the "Dream Team" and the Bears from last season. The fact is Detroit finished 4-12 last year and look to be playing a very similar brand of ball this year.

To say they are a good team after being trounced and beating a bad Giants team is illogical.

All I'm saying is, we've gone through far too many let downs in previous years and I'm just as happy with 2-0 as I was at being 3-3 last season. It's the finish that counts.

Detroit was 7-9 last year.

I'm impressed by how we have played but the teams we have played do not offer much for a subjective analysis of how good this team is. McCown shot himself in the foot multiple times last week and the only thing known about the Lions is that they at the very least have a decent coaching staff. They beat a bad Giants team which offers little to know information about how good or bad they are.

I am not so sure they have a decent coaching staff.

You may be right. Jim Caldwell was a knee jerk hiring I believe considering he was hired largely off of taking the Ravens to the Super Bowl and coaching Peyton Manning. Stafford is going to do what he wants to no matter who is coaching him and it usually leads to days like he had today.

I think they are a middle of the road team but have a hard time believing they will be around in December.

I think Caldwell is a going to be a good coach.  I just think he ran into a buzz saw today.  The Lions are built like the Saints.  I expect them to play well at home and in domes but struggle on the road on grass.
