Brayton/Johnson Appreciation Thread

Dear Tyler Brayton and Charles Johnson,

Us Panther fans will just have to come to terms with the fact that holding is not going to be called on any tackle Julius Peppers faces. Is he still effective? Sure. However, it's become painfully obvious that you cannot get consistent pressure with one premiere pass rusher. Pass rushing, whether it be off a blitz, or just a 4-man rush, is a team effort.

We sincerely appreciate the fact that you both have stepped up recently, and are finding your niche on this team. If this team ends up making some kind of post-season run, I think we all know that both of you gentlemen will have played your part in making our defensive line something to be feared.

Brayton and Johnson both had a great game. I would add Damione Lewis in there as well...he probably would have had a sack too, if Denver wouldn't have held him. The officials actually called that one, at least.

I hope Hilee Taylor is healthy enough to play come postseason. He could even add more to a line that is just now really starting to find it's pass rush. I'd like to see our ends rotated in the line a bit more as well.

Charles Johnson looks like the future starting defensive end across peppers for years to come since he's only 22..my guess is that hes not starting now is cuz hes still a little to raw

I'm really glad CJ didn't jump off sides yesterday. He is improving in several areas.

they are both improving, hopefully CJ can stop leaving so many sacks on the field, he would have 4-5 more if he could just get the QB down, or at least get a hand on him

I've tried to accept the fact they won't call holding on whoever is lined up across Pep,but it is often too obvious to have been ignored,so I end up getting pissed about it anyway. Isn't there anything the Panthers could do as far as making an official complaint to the NFL about it?I know there is no crying in football,but damn,it's just so friggin' obvious and often!

Charles Johnson is weak against the run thats why he mostly plays on third down, or other obvious pass plays. He does have one wicked bull rush though. Hopefully hell become a more rounded player in which case he could be great.

Well ............... when our defense does what it is supposed to, they will be out there only 3 plays at a time. Not much time for rotating. Actually, we rotate more than most defenses.
