You would simply sub him in (not by pausing the game) while picking the play.. you have more control that way.

for me, I don't know if I'd want it any other way, other than I just push a button and he is subbed in universally.

played my first game (quick play) before work this morning, 31-28 Panthers over the Iggles, won it with 19 seconds to go on a 46 yard pass play to Kenny Moore for a TD Wide open down the middle of the field in a 4 WR set of Moose, Jarrett, Moore, Smitty (left to right)

Just played the Eagirls in my first franchise game, all-pro 12 min quarters w/ 15 sec accelerated clock... beat them 37-27 DeAngelo had 215 rushing yards and 1 TD, Thomas Davis intercepted a pass and took it to the house for another TD, Jeff King caught two TD passes in the red zone and Everette Brown starting at RE got his first sack.

How does the franchise mode play? Last year's version froze up on me all the time. So I took it back and went Maddenless for a year. I'm not touching this year's version until we get some positive reports.

Nah Stewart comes in the game. If you run consecutive plays with Williams, Stewart will come out as the HB. If you are in short yardage Stewart will come out.

Also Stewart comes out on 3rd downs too.

Me and my boy messed around on it last night in an unranked game, and I'm disappointed in it so far. That said, everytime they really overhaul the game, it takes time to grow on me. This game looks superior to years past, but I REALLY have to get used to the defensive play on this years.

You feel helpless on deep passes to elite WRs and the defensive players are slow to react. The camera changes on the deep ball too, so that will take some getting used to. And they've gutted the playbooks (especially run n' gun) of all the staples from years past. I'll have to get used to it... and I was a level 22 without hardly playing last year.
