Lost all faith in mgmt of this team

So many things coming together and now culminating in the worst two halves of football this team has had in a long time.

1. Not addressing OL - Cam is getting mauled and has no time, no running game. This is the single biggest issue the team faces and I honestly don't see how they make the playoffs w/ this bunch.

2. Letting Steve Smith go - No comment necessary other than 122 yards and 2 TDs first half.

3. Allowing the media and NFL to bully them into Hardy suspension - Call it what you will and say what you will. He has not been proven guilty, nor is he admitting guilt, nor is there any evidence of guilt. Screw the backwards ass NC legal system that I have to hear the jerk off Steelers fans repeat that Hardy was "convicted"...but screw the Panthers for allowing this to be the case and not defending him until he is proven guilty.

4. Keeping Shula as OC - The guy is garbage. KB, Olsen, Avant, Cochery w/ Cam should be passing all over everyone. Yes the running game is crap but its not like they were doing anything when they were healthy w/ no blocking and predictable play calling.

5. Passion and discipline - Right now, it just isn't there and that is on the coaching.

6. ETA Not addressing the secondary - Can't believe I forgot this one...this team NEEDED to go out an get (or hold onto) starting quality CB and Safety but what did we get? Cason, Bene and old ass Harper.

Just calling it like I see it and keepin it real.

...and just so you know I have been a fan from the beginning through thick and thin and will continue to be but they need to get their heads out of their asses.

That is all.

I'll just post what I said in the gameday thread:

This season is giving me the same hopeless feeling I had 2 years ago and beginning of last year. I think this team and FO got complacent this offseason and didn't attempt to improve this season. This is the result. The fans saw our line needed fixing in March, we did nothing. The fans saw Shula is inconsistent and fails during crucial times. We decided to keep him. The fans saw our safeties were going to look bad after letting Mitchell and company go. We signed a guy that should be retired and a guy that looks lost just about every play. Only decent thing we did was draft for the future at the position.

This season is mostly falling hard on DGs shoulders. How can you not put protecting your franchise QB as priority #1? And the coaches are looking like the 2011 and 2012 versions. DG has some huge work to do this offseason, like he should've done this offseason.

what this franchise hasn't learned yet is that even when you have good seasons, you still need to improve. Cause the same poo isn't going to work next season. This is why we don't have back to back winning seasons. We get complacent every time we have a good one and our GM gets cocky. There's only been 1 consistent factor. Our owner.

    • The #Panthers explored the possibility of adding Jaire Alexander, but there was never an offer made, a league source told @theobserver.   https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1935436577649401872?s=46
    • Yes I agree, the future RT could easily be christ. When he shocking re-signed here for the cheap, he said part of the reason was the OL coaching staff.  I've already thought too much about 2026. The RT has all the options, including resigning Motown. I was never a big fan, but he's solid and peptides and stem cells can fix a gippy knee. If he makes it though this year and wants to return, why not for 2 years 16 million?? Or like you said give the job to Christ or draft your RT...... that I feel is the best current method. With both OGs in the 20 million per cap range and Icky......ooooooooooo boy he could be the first 30 million per OLmen in NFL history. That's a huge portion of cap space for the OL, which I agree with, but in order to offset those 20 and 30 million deals... you need cheap rookie contracts. (unless Motown would take a huge pay cut and whoever the C will be).  This is the deepest OL I can recall in Panthers history.  I believe Morgan should try and trade either Kingston or Zavala.  I didn't even talk about Yosh, Tarquin, or Walton. Yosh is same age as christ and why not him as RT after good swing tackle years? Tarquin is a UDFA on the prayer program, 150,000 in guarantees and why not him in 2026? Walton seems to be a OL coach favorite, he followed the Tampa Bay staff here after 2 years there and add in one year here, he's stuck around for some reason. I think they need to spend very light on RT and Panthers have lots of options, I love it.
    • That better not be the case. They need to be ready week 1. The easiest part if their schedule is the first few fames
