Warren Sapp: Cam Newton, The Purple Unicorn

top dawg

And Sapp is lame? LOL

You obviously don't remember him running through our warm up line? Was that too long ago for you? How about earlier this season on NFL network's season preview, he threw the Panthers' helmet into the recycling bin in favor of the Bucs' helmet?

"But... But... But... He gave respect to Cam! He's awesome!"

It's the normal huddle idiocy. Someone in the media says something bad about Cam, you tear them down. The same person says something positive about Cam two weeks later, suddenly they're the wisest sports person on TV who "really knows the game".

Sapp is funny, you're not.  He's just infusing some of his personality into the show.

Don't try and get all patronizing me with me.  Sapp is a Buc, Duh!

He has still always liked Cam and respects the Panthers and their defense.

Further proof humor is subjective.

Sapp said he loves Cam; its a compliment. Said his kind of talent is as rare as a purple unicorn.

Again, I don't care what Sapp's opinion of Cam is. The dude is an idiot. He has been since he played for the MRSA Bay Bucs.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
