If you could add 5 players on both sides of the ball...

I know this is pointless but I'm in a good mood and feel like goofing off.

DISCLAIMER: THIS THREAD HAS NO BASIS IN REALITY AND I KNOW IT.

So if you could add 10 active players to the Panther's roster (nevermind the cap this is just something to have fun with) who would you pick. 5 on offense and 5 on defense.

Mine would be as follows...

Offense

Dez Bryant (He's my #1 receiver in the NFL right now. He's got size, hands, speed and love for the game.)

Alshon Jeffrey (Good lawd what a wingspan. Excellent possession receiver.)

Tyron Smith (The Cowboys have arguably this best offensive line in the NFL and it starts with this big man. He's also still very young.)

Trent Williams (A nasty behemoth that manhandles his opponents, I was going to take Joe Thomas but Trent is younger and I like his play style.)

Le'veon Bell (Young, fast as hell, has power to truck opponents and great vision.)

Defense

JJ Watt (Not much needs to be said here. The best defensive player in the NFL)

Lavonte David (Arguably one of the best OLBs in the league. Successor to TD)

Earl Thomas (Best FS in the NFL and a true field general.)

Richard Sherman (Love his style of play including his mouth. Owns a side of the field.)

Gerald McCoy (Just a complete monster that does everything well)

All of my picks have 3 things in common.

Youth.

Dominant.

Positions of need.

I passed over certain players due to age. I also understand our base defense is a nickel and David wouldn't necessarily be in the entire game for the majority of snaps but he's young a beast.

Depth Chart

QB: Cam Newton, Derek Anderson

RB: Le'Veon Bell, DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, Fozzy Whittaker

FB: Mike Tolbert

WR: Dez Bryant, Kelvin Benjamin, Jericho Cotchery

WR: Alshon Jeffrey, Jason Avant, Philly Brown

TE: Greg Olsen, Ed Dickson, Brandon Williams

LT: Tyron Smith, Byron Bell

LG: Fernando Velasco, Amini Silatolu

C: Ryan Kalil, Brian Fokerts

RG: Trai Turner, Andrew Norwell

RT: Trent Williams

LDE: JJ Watt, Charles Johnson, Kony Ealy

LDT: Kawaan Short, Star Lotulelei

RDT: Gerald McCoy, Dwan Edwards, Colin Cole

RDE: Greg Hardy, Mario Addison

SLB: Lavonte David, A.J. Klein

WLB: Thomas Davis, Jason Williams

CB: Richard Sherman, Melvin White, Antoine Cason

Again IT'S JUST FOR FUN! Pick your studs my fellow Huddlers.

I'd say Alshon is more than a "possession receiver".  Dude beats people deep fairly often.

    • I posted this in another thread but it's relevant here Stroud is not a bad guy. He had a great rookie season but he hasn't been the same since. And the last 2 weeks he has completely imploded and just looks beaten. The defense has carried that team.  Young had one of the worst rookie seasons in one of the worst environments in recent memory. Last year we also had a record breaking bad def. He has improved and in his lone playoff game he had one of the best games of the season.  Year 1 it was stroud no doubt over young Year 2 it was still stroud miles ahead but young was getting better after the benching Year 3 it might be a tie- after the playoffs Bryce might be in the lead.  I am not rooting against stroud, in fact I've been rooting for him. I want both to succeed. But stroud is seeing ghosts and as of right now if I had to choose between all the qbs chosen in that draft.... Bryce would be my #1 ( but definitely not by a landslide- he still has tons to prove and 2 years to do it)
    • Every route isn’t actually supposed to be thrown to.  Think that was Caleb just being young and greedy.   DJ Moore wasn’t even looking for the ball.
    • Wonder if this was a FO move or an ownership move. I do think it's a mistake.
