Sammy Watkins, another 100 yard plus game. 9 catches, all for first down, the game winner with 1 second left?

Puuulllleeez brah, Sammy over KB, Sammy is only going to put up more numbers at this point with Orton.  I'd hate to see what he would do if he had Cam as QB.  Cooks has come back to earth.

Watkins

26 catches - 311 yards - 2 TD's

Benjamin

31 catches - 416 yards - 4 TD's

Cooks

34 catches - 278 yards - 1 TD

Evans

21 catches - 258 yards - 2 TD's (6 games)

I like KB better than all...those he lasers that he snags can only be caught by him and Olsen. Beckham JR has 3 tds in 2 games and looks so fast on punt returns also. He may be the best out of the bunch. Long term though I like benji with his size and box out ability.

If OBJ can stay healthy, Big Blue will have a monster WR.  That kid is pretty special.  I think more so than Watkins.

He needs to start catching those balls that will add points to the board while he's padding his stats. Can believe how some are out in full force criticizing Cam yet, those who get paid to catch balls a dropping them all over the place, even in the end zone and all some u itch about is how high, long, wide, or whoever distance u can come up with, that  Cam is throwing the ball. Not much is being made about the endless dropped balls that are costing the team and Cam points.

This goes back to blaming one player or the other when in reality neither is the problem. Cooks dropped a catchable deep ball on a post route last night, but it didn't matter because the Saints blew out the packers. Because the Saints actually open up their playbook and create mismatches and not try to run the same basic conservative gameplan against every different defense and expect to succeed.

my point is not so much the dropped balls as the attitude of some.Dropped balls is part for the course with some but high, overthrows, and what not isn't for a QB.

And in all honesty, that missed catches are way more costly than anything Cam did yesterday, including the INT.

It goes back to fans being delusional.  I think I posted similar thoughts in another thread to you somewhere and I am pretty sure you will agree.

WR's drop balls.  It happens.  Sometimes, it is inconsequential.  Sometimes, it is at critical times.  When another team has a WR drop the ball we simply cheer and say we played really good defense instead of thinking the WR simply dropped the ball.  WR's drop passes and you just can't blame the WR for that some times because it happens.  It has to happen.  WR's have to drop balls, it's a law of physics or something.

And my point is if this organization didn't live off the philosophy of playing close to the vest and trying to make every game a 3 point lead defensive showdown, the players wouldn't have to play so goddamned flawless to walk out of the stadium with a win.

That pretty much renders any discussions about which was a bigger missed opportunity between a dropped pass and an interception moot, especially when you consider that Benjamin is still a rookie and doing twice as good as any of us would've ever imagined this year. I had him pegged as an 800 yard receiver going in and he's going to pass that with flying colors.

Maybe i just saw it wrong, but it looked like it would have been a great catch if he had made it but he was far from guaranteed to bring it down for a catch even if he had initially held on.  Sherman had his arm coming up between KB's so even if he would have initially caught that laser from Cam he might not have come down with it.  People are acting like he was wide open standing in the end zone and the ball hit him right in the hands and he dropped it.  Not that he was jumping, was fully extended, and had the leagues biggest and most physical corner hanging all over him.

He's certainly dropped a couple of easy passes this season but I don't consider this one of them.  I agree that it was catchable and that a great WR makes that catch most of the time but it was far from a sure thing that he just dropped for no reason other than he sucks.

Maybe I'm wrong.  RR certainly seems to think it lost us the game so theres that.
