Some words from the Giants forum

Here is a little reality from the same thread:

While the Giants have not been playing well in the last two weeks, Carolina is a completely different team away from home. This juggernaut that you see at home does not travel well, and if the G-men can stop the run, which they did a solid job against the Boys, and improve the offense they could come away with a solid win. But, hey that does not fit in to the sky is falling theme we have going on today.

in the past , we've had NY's number. My concern is Jacobs and their running backs, if they get their running game going it won't be good. But honestly ..our teams are a lot alike, just that Jake ain't Eli. Special teams & turnovers will determine the victory. Defensive war all the way ...but we've got JOHN KASAY!

I think our road playoff record is an indication of what we are capable of... and I fully expect this to be a playoff atmosphere...

I've said all year that the Giants don't scare me in the least, and that's even when they are fully healthy... Eli is still way overrated, and I still say their SB win was a fluke...

Panthers 38 - Giants 13

    • Care to elaborate why you disagree? We kicked the ball off 3 times and we kept the Browns to starting field position of the 22, 27, and 10 (would have been 21 before a penalty). All 3 of those are successes with the modern kickoff rule.
    • Its August so obviously quality options are not there. The question is whether any improvement can be made to the bottom of the depth chart.
    • NFL has a huge amount of parity.  The talent level between most NFL starters outside of the top 5 to 10 guys at a position is very comparable.  2020 worst teams Jacksonville Jaguars - 1-15 (worst record in NFL) New York Jets - 2-14 Cincinnati Bengals - 4-11-1 Atlanta Falcons - 4-12 Houston Texans - 4-12 Carolina Panthers - 5-11 Detroit Lions - 5-11 Philadelphia Eagles - 4-11-1 Los Angeles Chargers - 7-9 Denver Broncos - 5-11 2024 Worst teams New York Giants - 3-14 (tied for worst) Cleveland Browns - 3-14 (tied for worst) Tennessee Titans - 3-14 (tied for worst) New England Patriots - 4-13 Carolina Panthers - 5-12 Jacksonville Jaguars - 4-13 Las Vegas Raiders - 4-13 New York Jets - 5-12 Chicago Bears - 5-12 Arizona Cardinals - 8-9 Bengals, Texans, Lions, Eagles, Broncos and the Jags have all made the the playoffs in the last 3 years. What I'm saying is it's stupid to argue when team is the worst when there is so much parity and the system allows quick turnarounds.
