Deandre Presley at Safety?

I mean let's not act like Colin Cole wasn't "sitting on his couch" for two years before coming in and contributing to a 12-4 season. Sure, that's more the exception but it happens.

Just because someone is on the practice squad or was recently a Panther it doesn't mean they're the best for the job. If vets were PC eligible (more than 2 of them per team, anyway), I'm sure we'd see more of them than a slew of undrafted rookies.

The problem is, our FO deems to be setting a precedent for ignoring positions of need and instead, stubbornly trying to create the solution from within when it's not there.

That's our Gettledick, working his magic with the blessings of the beloved owner.

Maybe I missed something.

Didn't they say they were trying him there?  Or did they say he was going to start there Sunday?

Big difference. Some overreaction going on here.

He's athletic, smart, and a hard worker. Might be something to look at for the future.

    • I honestly question play calling a lot more towards the end of last season than Bryce’s play. I’m not sold on Canales as an offensive mind, I haven’t seen the advantage he gives on that side of the ball. Maybe that changes with the new coordinator so that will be something to look for. Either way I’m not falling for the same hook line sinker again this offseason. I hope we don’t settle for a qb just because of some weird attachment issues we seem to have as an organization to Bryce. I’d rather start the search for a qb again, now with a much more stable team and front office, then getting hooked for multiple years with a qb that under performs and is overpaid
    • Cam Newton would make an a pretty good TE.
