Hornets vs Pelicans Game Thread.

I'm at work and had to watch a really crappy stream so it was hard to tell what was going on...

I see Lance only had 23 minutes and several turnovers... Was he benched again?

He played like poo. Turning the ball over then not getting back on defense and not really defending either.

Bad night for Stephenson

there is no problem with saying there are problems , I'm not calling out you specifically but people are already talking about the draft. I mean what is the point of even watching if you give up at the first sign of adversity

call me crazy but I expected the Hornets to take some time to gel this year. we're adding a new big name player and lost one of our glue guys (mcbob)

Soja it's not that I disagree with you.  It's just are we going to have enough time to rebound from the "time" it takes to gel?  I honestly don't fuggin know.  We need to get a win.  I have a feeling if we can just get one good solid win we  can get some momentum.

And is it just me or does Clifford's demeanor seemed to have changed from last year to this year?  Is he feeling the heat?  Last year there was no pressure.  Is it getting to him this year?  This is why we need Zod to cover the fuggin Hornets as well.

We are not a playoff team right now and if we don't get our act together we will not be.

Bingo. You can't just flip a switch and have all the issues disappear. It takes coaching. What's the deal with playing Maxiell? Why not Vonleh? Why not start Neal?

This isn't about panicking, this is simply about shaking things up with the current rotation because something is not working. This is more than just chemistry. This is every player in the starting 5's flaws getting exposed. We won last season because that didn't happen game in and game out.

The thing that bothers me is Clifford has always struck me as an old-school, Larry Brown-type of coach.  He picks the guys he wants and likes, and he dotes on them.  And on the opposite side of the spectrum, he finds the guys he didn't have a hand in choosing and shits on them 'til one of them have to go.

I feel like that's what he's doing with Lance.

Don't get me wrong, Lance seems to do a lot of "freelancing" lol.  But, his leash is extremely, and surprisingly short for a prized FA signing.  That bothers me.  A lot...  I don't like where this is going.

    • I mean I think its a bit disingenuous to call basically anyone here a casual fan. I don't think the casual fan creates a profile then logs into it, in the offseason, to comments on mundane offseason topics.. I dont think anyone on here would be considered a casual fan. That said, I get your point. My POV is from the player. They sign this contract, move their family because of these contracts. When Clowney came him, we basically had a coming home party for him.  So yeah, I get why we did it and I know that ultimately the owner doesnt 'save' money, but I can feel for the human side of the player, which is why I want them to get all they can while they can.
    • My guess is the NBA will either send Flagg back “home” to the Northeast in Brooklyn or Washington, or San Antonio so that they can keep building around Wemby. If I was a betting man I would take the odds on the Spurs. This definitely feels like a #1 pick that they will rig.
    • In fairness, she is ensuring she is talked about.  People really aren’t going out there way to bring her up.  It’s some weird poo.  She would end up getting talked about given her actions if she was 40. Bill realizing some of these high end “companions” got a game of their own.  That’s what I don’t think Bill saw coming.
