Over the last 3 weeks, Mike Shula's offense has averaged less points...

so how long after mike shula is fired will P55 start blaming him in an effort to cover for whomever the remaining issues on the roster are?[/quote ]

It would be great to think that our problems can be blamed on Shula and that new OC will solve everything. As a panther fan I could only hope that it would be so easy. Unfortunately I am not so naive as to believe such simplistic solutions like many folks here.

I must disagree with you here. Let's just look at our last game against NO, no need to go back any further...but if we must, we can. 3rd and long, Shula calls for a run between the tackles...really? For one we don have tackles...and two we had not been successful at all running the ball in the box. I realize this is just one senario of poor play calling...but it's not just one play, or one game it's a trend. Shula in not the OC that the panthers can be successful with consistently...consistent is the name of the game.

Shula was hired to help Cam with consistency and revive the running game. The problem is that we didn't give him the tools to do what we hired him to do. With no healthy backs and a terrible O line exactly how was that going to work. No one ever said he was an offensive genius or even a great OC. But last year he showed that with decent talent he can fashion a serviceable offense. Before Gettleman even blew that up.

literally not a single person has ever said getting a new OC would solve every problem

Perhaps not but to blame Shula for the mess the offense is in is suggesting that the players aren't just as much as fault and a New O C will make a huge difference. Otherwise people would understand that Shuls just doesn't have what he needs to be successful and as everyone predicted we were going to suck.
