Why do football players even need a "leader"? Like I said, they need to just do their freaking jobs and quit trying to put it on someone else. If Cam Newton needs to grab Chandler by the face mask in order for him to block better, or TD needs to get up in Harper's face in order for him to stop taking moronic lanes to the ball, then Chandler and Harper don't need to be in the NFL. 

 

Sadly, most people have an external locus, which is why most people suck. Either you want to play or you don't. Motivate yourself.

You obviously don't understand or have never been apart of a football team. Bell and chandler have never been good players so its not like their in a slump and need a fire lit under their ass from a captain/coach. They don't have the talent to be starters in this league and everyone knows that. If you continue to rip into them for their poor play it is not going to make anything better at all.

The difference is Smitty called the players only meeting last year and chewed players out. This year I don't know if that's going to work with Cam. Decoud did say Cam had one with them and he apologize. What I don't like about this team is that we don't have that dog in the locker room who isn't scared to speak his mind and get players to follow. Every locker room in the league has one except ours.
