You have to wonder why they drafted Newton.

 

They drafted him to win games with his ablity or so I thought.

 

When he has a chance to do so, they take the ball out of his hands by calling plays that have no chance to work.

 

This is the same guy who made the plays last year to beat the Saints and NE.

 

Suddenly, when he has a hot hand, he can't be counted on to win games against the likes of Atlanta.

 

It seems to me the entire team and Newton are demoralized and it is even more concerning that Rivera won't man up and say, I should have put the game in the hands of my play makers instead of the kicker with that much time left; but, the again, he's delusional about that defense.
