Jordan's exact words...

(after thanking Marty Hurney for drafting him) "Dave Gettleman too. Appreciate that. I think you're doin' a great job, man. I didn't like you very much last offseason but (laughter) I got over that."

He also stated that he wanted to retire at a time when he felt the team was "in good hands" and stated that now was that time.

(the video is still available on the team website if you wanna check it)

That's what I was talking about.. I think Nelson just put a article on ESPn.com about Shula and it makes a statement saying "DG renegotiating Gross pushed him out a year earlier then planned"..

Even an article David Newton published that I posted earlier this season alluded to the fact (though I am too lazy to find it) that Gettleman probably wishes that he had left Gross alone.  But, you know, I guess that everyone who speculates that Gross would have played out his contract had Gettleman left him alone has an agenda.

The agenda here is that of the Huddle ostriches.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
