Yesterday the announcers mentioned the lack of urgency after the TD

They couldn't believe it. None of us could believe it. Why were they still in huddle mode? Still calling run plays up the middle? Moving like turtles

We were down 15 with plenty of time left. Seem like they say the right things to the media, but it feels like they given up

it all starts at the top. i'm sure its hard to get fired up as a player when your coach is isn't engaged in the action. stoic ron needs to light some fire under some people and make these guys realize they have a job to do. you would think a guy from a military family would know that your leaders need to lead or lazy will rub off on the other players.

what we have here is lazy football and a nonchalant coaching staff. it is terrible, undisciplined, lazy football.

I thought it was funny to see them decide to go up tempo when they were up three scores and when we got the ball we still plodded along despite being down three scores. Our coaches would set themselves on fire before going hurry up ahead by three scores which is why they suck.

Probably bc going pass heavy.....with our OL and WRs for an extended period will only result in bad things

I knew we were in trouble when we were told about the country club environment during training camp this summer.

    • No, you're right. It doesn't mean you can't call out his flaws and poor play. But it also doesn't mean you can't admit when he plays well and shows improvement. Not you personally, just in general I mean.
    • I will say, I do think there's a version of Bryce that could be really successful as a high-volume passer in a spread-based offense built around quick throws and timing-based intermediate throws with deeper throws schemed up around them. I actually think the power run based offense we're running is a poor fit for Bryce as it requires him to play under center far more often. It's a very traditional offensive approach whereas I think a scheme that spreads defenses out and lets Bryce distribute the ball quickly with anticipation and accuracy is the sweet spot for him. The key, of course, is to find a way to run the ball efficiently out of those formations. Our personnel right now (backs and OL) aren't good fits for that style of offense and I'm not sure it's a scheme Dave Canales favors very much either.
    • I root for him, and I hope for the best, as does essentially everyone. But that doesn’t mean you can’t call out flaws and bad plays. And that’s what a lot of people get wrong.  I hope I’m wrong and that he continues to improve a lot, I just doubt it. But I’ve been wrong before
