After hearing Ron talk it's pretty clear that he had to defend his lack of ability to put the best players on the field... he kept bringing up injuries and how everything turned around the last 5 weeks. You can tell there have been discussions concerning the coaching staff, how Ron can say special teams was horrible simply because of injuries is asinine.

 

After hearing Dave talk, it's clear he's not happy with how personnel decisions were made, he's not going to let personal relationships dictate who stays and who goes and he's going to take a defensive lineman in the draft regardless of where they're at if he thinks they can play.

I watched both of them, and G-man clearly said that we lost 5 starters on special teams and that was a big factor for the lack of performance. Guess that makes both of them asinine?

Is anyone else really pissed off when they hear players and coaches say... I don't know why we can't do things? I cant put my finger on it? All I seem to ever hear from Rivera is some generic vanilla response, like he does not know what he is talking about.... maybe its because he does not want to give things away.... we'll see. Right now, with the Panthers losing, and the Ducks getting their asses beat, I want a break from ball.

Yeah, this thread turned to balls quickly. I love all the people twisting what was said to fit how they feel. There are no underlying messages in anythng that was said. Ron and Dave are on the same page and this team is headed in the right direction.
