Eh, he has decent athleticism in coverage. Justin could play in a 4-3.

Could? Sure! You want to tie up 9-12 mil a year into forcing a natural 3-4 OLB in a hand in the dirt DE?

Not very bright roster and cap management? Don't you know that everyone is screaming for Cam and Luke to get 100mil contracts? We will have 40 mil a year tied up in those 2

for everyone who frowns upon football players with supposedly off the field issues. he dropped to the 3rd round because of such off the field issues. but everything checked out on him. Houston is really good.

Agreed. Thought your reply was agreeing with OP that Hardy would be "by far" the best pass rusher FA. Houston will likely be tagged or signed by KC though.

Houston is the only pass rusher i would take over Hardy.

I wouldn't take him here over Hardy considering we're 4-3 but he's definitely better than Hardy at rushing the passer. I have no idea how good he is against the run though.

Houston could play DE in a 4-3. 6'3 260, he is around the same size as Cameron Wake. he is stout vs the run, and can set the edge as 6-9 technique. very good strength, and leverage he plays with. decent athleticism, but would not be ideal to rush from the inside. strictly an edge rusher.

The key words here are "if" and "could", Einstein.

Will it happen? Not in a million years. You may now return to your rant.

Lol, my bad. Didn't mean to seem rantish. Just wondering if everyone chooses to stay in Madden mode!

"We buy all the Pro Bowlers!"

You were clearly just discussing the likelihood of him being able to play in a 4-3

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
