I thought it would be an interesting discussion on how you ranked the prospects of the last 5 years against this year and past. Post how you had the prospects here. Be honest or else it isn't fun

I did not like RGII as a prospect and I had him ranked outside my top 10 in that draft. I liked Tannehill a lot better.

I thought Baylor was a place were qbs could succeed based on the offensive system, I thought he had trouble with the mid-field balls, I though he had trouble staying inside a clean pocket among other things. I thought RGIII was easily the best deep ball thrower, however, I had watched enough to realize he was chucking it to wide open wide receivers and a lot of the production came from that. He seemed like a good project, but not a guy who could carry a team without a system around him, a system that would be quickly figured out in the nfl.

 

Tannehill on the other hand seemed to adjust super well to being a qb, and being a wr beforehand had helped him out with timing and being able to manipulate a s/db. I thought he ran a pro-style offense with excellent results and developed as the year went along. He went through progressions, did not rely on athleticism but rather allowed it to compliment his game. He seemed like a franchise qb after 2-3 years and had better understanding of the game. 

 

At this point, was I really wrong? =/

Yea I also thought RG3 was overhyped. Running a fast 40 is meaningless. The bigger surprise than RG3 at #10 is Bridgewater at 2. My list, in terms of prospects, would be Luck, Winston, Cam, then the rest.

I touted Bridgewater as an amazing qb prospect ever since he came out, it was never really close, I liked him almost as much as Luck. Obviously the pro day and size dinged him, but I am pretty certain he will prove people wrong.

Err, when they were coming out of college as a prospect, yes. I would take Cam 10 times out of 10 at this point in their respective careers though.
