Vikings Release Greg Jennings

Could also affect their draft plans. Thought after trading for Wallace they wouldn't go wideout in the 1st, but now I bet if Parker's there, they snag him. They are high on Charles Johnson though, so who knows...

Good luck in the future @ GregJennings ! I thought you were

under utilized here in Minny. But very productive when we did

use you! #Vikings

I did not foresee the #Vikings releasing @GregJennings .

Saving Cap I'm sure but still. Lost sure hands and leadership

on and off the field.

I feel like @ GregJennings got a raw deal here in Minnesota.

Wasn't put in a position to be productive.

Actually, I am not sure the systems he has been in are the same as what we run here, but for sure he is the kind of guy we would be looking for to mentor all the young guys already on the team and the one guy we might have coming in May.

Probably too costly and again, the system.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
