BBC fires Jeremy Clarkson

Abuse? Was this a child or an adult producer of a television show?

Is every person who loses a fistfight, or gets punched, a victim of abuse? Come on, really?

Did you read BBC's statement on the issue? After their investigation they found that Mr. Tymon took himself to the hospital after he was subject to an "UNPROVOKED physical and verbal attack". Does that sound like a fist fight to you?

I get you like the guy but let's stick to what we know and not concoct stories.

And I don't think a fist fight between two men should be a fire-able offense. It's not as though he was free-basing coke or abusing children. It's a friggin fight. Man up, people.

Please read the facts that emerged from their investigation. It wasn't a fist fight.

The facts say that the guy sustained a busted lip. The dude checked himself into a hospital, so saying he was "hospitalized" as a result of the fight is a blatant exaggeration. I could just as easily go to a psych ward after this conversation with you and say that I was seeking psychological care because of my disagreement with you.

And after the fight, Clarkson repeatedly tried to apologize, as the investigation states.

Doesn't sound like a whole heck of a lot, and that investigation still doesn't establish everything that led up to the fracas. I doubt it all hinged on the cold dinner; rather it was the proverbial straw.

I honestly don't know how Clarkson, May, and Hammond can do a show without the BBC.  If you've ever watched Top Gear it looks like there are a cast of thousands putting it together.  There's no way that's a cheap show to produce.

Regardless of whether it was provoked or unprovoked, it does not make it abuse.

Yes it sounds like a fist fight.

Again, I am not saying that the guy was right to hit someone, but holy damn, you are concocting just as much as anyone else by saying the dude was a victim of abuse.

You are right, it would have to be taken up by someone who would be willing to invest in the show. But if you are going subscription based, there would be millions of fans that would pay to watch it on whichever service was willing to pay the production costs.

At least, that is what I think. I don't want to be accused of stating opinion as fact or anything.

Lol, a victim of an unprovoked verbal and physical attack is not a victim of abuse because he is an adult male. I think you may want to familiarize yourself with the definitions of abuse and concoct.

I am fully aware of the definitions of both words. It was a one time altercation, and there has been nothing stated that there was an actual punch thrown, only that the guy had a bloody lip, which could result from a lot of different circumstances.

But anywho, this is a stupid thing to argue about. You have your opinion, and I have mine, and neither of them make on bit of difference.

So congratulations, you won. I give up.

Who said he was hospitalized? Are you concocting more stuff?

You have every right to check into the psych ward, however no one is coming for me because I have in no way abused you. Dude on the other hand had a busted lip and that is evidence enough not including the fact that he continued to verbally abuse him long after that.

Biggest budget ever. If someone is willing to put the money up they will recoup it though.
