Okay, it's officially time to panic...

I agree that the poor tackling is a serious issue that needs to be addressed sooner than later. Still, I'm not going to panic until we're not competing in meaningful games. Next week will tell us a lot about our team, or at least a lot more than a preseason game where the starters only played a few sets of downs will.

we'll address the mistakes, i'm sure, and do everything possible to correct them. But i think there's a LOT of positives to take out of tonight's performance, too - improvements over the first three games.

I think week one against the eagles will be much different than 90% of the people on this board are expecting.

Oh and the interception Matt Moore threw was absurd.

Seriously, he got hit right as he let the ball go. I thought Matt played great tonight, he made some outstanding throws and really seemed comfortable out there but also with a sense of urgency. He threw the ball down the field and made some plays.

i agree. the receiver (rosario?) was definitely open... it looked to me like the hit took a good bit of strength off the throw.

Yeah.. that interception was not Moore's fault at all. If anybody needs to shoulder the blame there, it was our 1st string TE from last year. King basically got mauled by the DE, and even with blatant holding, still got his ass beat back into the QB. That one was pure King

    • We don't have to tear down Dak to appreciate what Bryce did yesterday. Dak had 0 running game. If the cowboys were better, he'd be a legit MVP candidate if he keeps playing this way.  They did it with Ceedee last year, but they do a better job of anybody we play consistently of getting their best receiver off Jaycee.  Bryce was good too. If we just catch the ball that was intercepted, we probably win by 7+, and Bryce goes over 200 yards passing.  Biggest shift the last few weeks has been play calling. I thought Canales abandoned the run game way to early at times last year. This year he really seems to be sticking with it.  I still think Chuba is better at making 4 yards when there's nothing there, but Rico is better at making 30 yards when there's 6 there. I like the direction. Hopefully we can get Moton, Sanders and Coker back and really be dangerous. Our play action game is pretty deadly right now.  Unrelated: My favorite quality about Bryce right now is his ability to see the defensive hold and throw the ball there. He EXPOSES the officials when they don't call it. That one on Tetaroia yesterday late in the game was a bad miss on their part.
    • That sacks allowed number lookin juicy!
    • This is a game the Panthers should win... just the sort of game they lose. The Panthers have a bad habit that goes back years of playing down to the competition's level only to mess around and lose the game. The Jets game should be taken very seriously! But I want to enjoy the fact that they beat the Cowboys for at least another day or so!
