To play for awhile. I know for a fact that his achilles is not really doing that well at all. Don't bother asking me who my "source" is, or how I know because I won't tell at risk of throwing a good buddy under the bus.

If you don't believe me, thats fine. We'll see whats up come week 1. Not saying he's definitely out, but it isn't looking good so don't get any hopes up.

Nice CYA there.

Beason said he WILL be there week one.

J-Stew said he HOPES to practice a lot this week.

That's all we have to go on, not Rayzor's tweets and not the OP's secret source.

it wasn't a tweet. it was lloyd's webcast this past week and he had matt moore on it.

i understand what your saying though.

here's from gantt:

Stewart expressed similar optimism, saying “the timeline is to play against Philadelphia.”

He said there’s still soreness in his right Achilles, but he was prepared to get back out there this week.

sounds pretty positive to me.

what i heard from moore was "game time, on time."

nothing i have heard except from outside sources and "unnamed sources" that someone doesn't want to throw under the bus has said that he is expected to be back.

Yeah, if practice goes well for him he'll be there for sure, if not he won't. But it's not for sure yet, IMHO. Beason, will be out there though!!!

I just meant I highly doubt Rhys takes the time to talk to the trainers in depth about J-Stew's current health. I didn't watch the video of course, so I could be wrong, but I'd guess he just asked Stewart himself how the foot was and Stewart said it felt good, etc.

i just haven't heard or seen comments from anyone on the team who said they doubted he would be there.

fox has been vague about it but when isn't he?

i just know that i saw him walking around just fine and doing the pregame stretches and warm ups at training camp. there is no boot. no crutches. no limp. just him taking it easy.

Man, I bet if I made a thread on how we should trade Smith, or Beason (I.E Half of these bullshit threads made up that somehow manage to garner 500 replies) some of you nuthuggers would be clamoring all over it. Seriously, I rarely start threads to begin with, what reason would I have to try to come on here and bullshit a bunch of bullshitters?

See, either way I go here I'm screwed, hence the reason its about worthless to post anything on this board unless you have in excess of 5,000 posts. I tell you how I know, and you call me a liar. I don't tell you how I know and I'm a liar.

Again, when you don't see him on the field in week 1, eat some crow and shut your faces. Why do you think he never dressed in the preseason? Only ran light practices, has been going to see specialists about his ankle/achilles? Jesus Christ, the guy isn't LaDanian, he hasn't earned the right to sit out a preseason. Use common sense.

All I'll say about how I know is a friend of mine knows him and talks to him frequently. Of course, none of you will believe that either...what am I supposed to do? Take a picture of him eating dinner at my friends house? Or maybe I can have my friend call him for you....then again he could be lying to my friend too. I didn't say take it as the word, I said it's a possibility. Learn to read.

Its the Panthers, do you seriously think anyone would honestly say his condition if it were bad before we play the Eagles? I think not.

So basically, you're making a prediction that Stewart won't play week 1 with some bullshit source you manufactured out of thin air and then get mad when people call it the bullshit it is.

Don't even bother to come back here on Week 1 for "props" if he does manage to sit out that game. You're pulling it out of your ass to start with.

I have from an inside source that we'll lose the Eagles game. If we do, then my source has credibility. If we win, then i'll add a qualifier like, "I didn't say we'd lose for CERTAIN".

    • I find it interesting that TMac was shown here practicing without gloves.  Is that a new approach to improving hands because the gloves are so sticky?   If you think about the draft and evaluated the talent at each position and rate them by round, you see what the Panthers did--get the best WR in the draft.  in round 2, you had WRs like Bech and Tre Harris going--meanwhile, the Panthers grabbed Scourton (late first round grade) and Princely (expected to be drafted in the middle of the second round).   Bech and Harris were projected to be third rounders.   If you evaluate the draft by your expectations of the performance of the talent, you are guessing and trying for clicks.  However, if you understand the depth of talent at each position and align that with needs,  the strategy becomes the issue--not a subjective guess.  Did the Panthers address WR and Edge wisely, considering the players likely to be available?  Yes.   Ask yourself this:  In the Panther system, is it possible that Scourton would be a better edge than Walker?  I think he is a better fit.  Princely?  Better fit.   Morgan had an excellent draft.  When you see Ransom play S, you will be convinced that it was a Home Run.  That pick was solid and he will be here for a long time.
    • Wasn't sure where to put this; can't start a new thread.  Anyone paying attention to the CWS?  Tarheels cruise in first two games, set up regional championship with fully rested bullpen and tons of momentum.   On the road to Omaha!
    • Or it could be because we are building a pretty good team that is going to compete.  But I expect us to win the division this year.
