Aside from LT, we dont have a single weakness on this team right now.

Appreciate the optimism but there are possible weaknesses:

LT - Is Oher healthy? Does it matter?

RT - As promising Remmers was, it was only 5 games. Is Williams ready to fill in if Remmers fails/gets injured?

RB - Can Stewart stay healthy? Is CAP/Fozzy good enough if Stew gets injured?

S - Are Harper and Boston going to improve in pass defense? Will Coleman be an improvement?

DE - Asides from CJ, will Ealy improve? Will Frank ball out? Is Addison ready to be more than a 3rd down rusher?

DT - Are Star and KK gonna be healthy?

Ridiculous to say that we don't have any weaknesses but I think we have improved or remained pat in every position group though, and should be better.

Call me crazy, but I'm worried about Free Safety. Coleman and Harper are both Strong Safeties, and as much of an upgrade Tre Boston was last year over Thomas Decoud, he was no Earl Thomas. Those couple times he got burnt by Kearse in that Seahawks game still linger in my memory. As far as Colin Jones, he's fast and has done ok in limited action at Safety and Slot Corner, but I don't think he's a long term solution.

I mean hope that Tre balls out, but if he doesn't, I wouldn't be surprised if our two biggest needs going in to next years's draft are OT and FS.

LT is the obvious position. I'm concerned about Short and Lotolulei if their problems persist that is going to be a huge problem. Safety could be issue also. I am overall excited about the team though. If they can stay healthy this team can be pretty dang good.

I got a bit upset with Shula last year, but there is a point where you realize how bad the offense was at the beginning of the season.

Bell--Gone

Silatolu--Bench

Scott--Bench

Chandler--Bench

D Williams---gone

----We have upgraded half the offense from the beginning of 2014 and we drafted Funchess, Artis-Payne, and OT Williams. I am guessing that we will become much faster (Ginn, Byrd)

Special Teams will give us better field position.

I also think the D is better.
Last year, if you bitched about Shula all year and let the Special Teams coach slide, you don't get football.

He now has weapons.  He now has a decent OL.  Let's see what he can do.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
