Someone needs to paste this on Peps locker and lest see if he has any cohonies.

Basically dude is calling him a puss.

Peppers no worry for Eagles' Shawn Andrews

By Jeff McLane

Inquirer Staff Writer

Shawn Andrews hasn't played in a game in almost a year, hasn't played at tackle since college, and hasn't practiced much this preseason.

If those facts aren't enough reason for concern, the Eagles offensive lineman has the additional challenge of facing one of NFL's best defensive ends this Sunday in Carolina's Julius Peppers.

Andrews' response: What, me worry?

"I don't want to get into a hissing match - but at the same time, I'm a beast, too," he said yesterday after practice at the NovaCare Complex. "It's not a me-and-Peppers thing. It's a team deal. But, since you asked about the individual battle - I'm a beast, too. Let the beasting begin, if you will."

meh, personally I couldn't read much into that. It wasn't like he challenged Pepp as a player; just stating he's up for the challenge. If anything, going against one of the best DE will motivate him to bring his "A" game on Sunday, if he has one.

Of bigger concern for the Eagles is having a revamped OL that hasn't had the opportunity to work together during the preseason. This matches our concern about a DL that hasn't looked good at all this preseason, and this could be the differenece in Sunday's game. It will be an interesting matchup, to say the least.

Pep actually does get pump by this kind of stuff. Remember the OT down in Tampa Bay that use too talk junk too Pep all the time. Then Pep would make him false start 4 times a game. Or the game against the Vikes when B Mckinney was talking trash too Pep then Pep almost single handedly won that game for us (until Fox bad Punt return trick play).

This stuff seem like the only thing that motivates Pep.

Every professional athlete has pride. Yes even Peppers. Just because he doesn't get rah rah, doesn't mean he isn't motivated. With the pressure of his contract looming, the carolina "fans" waiting to pounce on him, and little articles like this, I expect him to be as motivated as we have seen him. That being said, I hope he eats the eagles O-line for breakfast.
