Agree 110%. Kick KK outside and let Love glog the middle with Star. Rotate Addison and Ealy as needed. I hope the powers that be see it the same way.

I would like to see more of KK at DE, his power could cause a lot of problems for OT's.

Disagree with a lot of the people who want to play KK on the outside. I know we do it at the moment on certain looks, but there's really nothing to gain from putting your best interior pressure guy on the outside long term.

The issue against New Orleans was our interior guys allowed throwing lanes (Star's low grade) and let the taller McCown get rid of the ball super early. That's why Rivera was saying we needed the interior guys to get their arms up and obstruct the QB early. There was nothing outside pressure would have done with the speed the ball was being released.

The only way it makes sense to me to have a big, strong, slow DT on the edge is if we're worried about giving up runs. Even then we should be able to rely on our LBs to cover the Off-tackle gaps.

Would rather have:

                                 Thomas

Norman                   Chancellor                Sherman

                      Davis- Kuechly- David

                 Hardy- Donald- Short- Quinn

this makes me wonder- If you combined the panthers and seahawks current defensive units would it be the greatest defense of al time?

i really wish m9re fans understood the difference between 3-4 LBs and 4-3 LBs. There are differences, and they are not interchangeable.

I hope you read my post in context, because i do know the difference.  And by not being interchangeable you mean?  Because technically you could run a 1-9-1 defensive set it doesnt matter what you field as long as u have the personnel to field it, and we do.

    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
