The Walk movie

So I saw this in IMAX today and was blown away.  I had seen the documentary that was released a few years back titled Man on Wire.  I've never seen any movie in IMAX or 3D and ran out afterwards telling people they have to seen it in that format.  This movie would be an exception.  I can't imagine seeing it in a normal format and it having the same effect.  The scenes on top of the towers were so life like that it feels like you are actually up there.  9/10 very solid.

Cool, I thought it was a dope looking trailer. Would you suggest watching the documentary first, before watching the movie?

I may wait and watch it on my 125 in HD projector tho, it gives you the same feel of imax

honestly I don't think it matters which you see first.  They are very similar in the way the story is told.

I stayed out of work today and decided to take you up on this.

What an exhilarating film. My palms were sweating and heart racing throughout the entire walk. Magnificent. Favorite character was the stoned dude, but his freak out at the end was a little heavy-handed.

Basically, I second the recommendation here. See it IMAX 3D or not at all. It's unlike anything you've ever seen.

Ha!  I hadn't even mentioned how sweaty my palms were walking out of there.  I was squirming in my seat and had a death grip on the arm rests at the end.

Indeed. The cops' reactions provided some much needed comic relif with all the tension.

If you haven't seen the documentary I recommend that as well.  They interview the cops and the people on the street and I got choked up when they were trying to describe what they had just witnessed.  The cops weren't mad they were dumbfounded.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
