I'm still confused

We have Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis, and Shaq Thompson; arguably 3 of the best athletes at the linebacker position in the league...so why on earth was Roman Harper of all people matched up with Jimmy Graham of all people for the entire game??? If we had anyone else on Graham, the Seahawks struggle to get to 14 points. At the very least Tre Boston should be in for Harper on long passing downs

Rivera has a record of waiting until halfway in the season until he corrects safety or cornerback play .. Just look at the pervious years when he waited to finally put in Bene and Tre Boston .. Roman harper was murdered last night and he continued to keep him in .. Because of him and some of the drops by Funchess I ran out of beer well before the end of the game.

No he doesn't.

Both Boston and Bene were injured last year which is why they didn't play at all. Rivera is not stubborn about veterans. This narrative has been proven wrong time and time again.

Harper is the weak link in the secondary and we knew that going in. Boston is a FS and he got beat out by Coleman who has been playing pretty damn well for us this year. When Marlowe or someone else can step up and take the job from Harper, they will.

Now I have no idea why they stuck Harper on graham, but it's not because there's an all-pro ready this minute to step in that Rivera is too stubborn to play. It's because he is unfortunately the best option at the position for us.

    • Some fun facts on last nights game.
    • I was reading through the thread seeing if someone would mention this. This is exactly what the Canes are doing and Tripp Tracy alluded to it on the Spittin Chiclets podcast when he said Taylor Hall was our Sam Bennett. The Canes and Panthers have always played identical with the main difference being Florida toes the line between physical and dirty. The Canes have stepped up the physical play this year and are inching closer to that line of physical and dirty. If I’m being honest, as a Montreal fan I wouldn’t love the fact that the Canes seem to be targeting Hutson but as a Canes fan I love it because this is what you have to do in the playoffs. Unfortunately for Montreal they aren’t an overly physical team outside of Anderson and Xhekaj; only the Avs, Stars, and Sabres average less hits per game than Canadians in the playoffs. The Canadians can still make this a series if they stop playing scared and turning the puck over simply because they are getting elite goaltending while the Canes are getting average goaltending but if the Habs continue to play with the yips and either Andersen steps up or Dobes regresses then this series could end in five.
