I can't speak it (I DO need to learn it) but my wife is from Japan. Two things she did... Are you going to keep asking me to translate? And obviously this is not a native Japanese speaker. But close enough for her to know what you were saying.

You can download a keyboard converter for you PC or Phone. You switch the language mode then like he said start typing phonically. So you have to know the Roman Lettering (if you're using an English keyboard) and start typing. As you type the character for that sound pops up (keep in mind that a sound can have MANY different characters) you pick the character you want then continue to type the next sound pick the character you want... rinse and repeat.

Japan likes baseball and soccer. NFL doesn't even register there

I wouldn't necessarily say that myself. I know they have an anime that is about football (they do have one for basketball and baseball as well though.) called Eyeshield 21. It would explain some of the basics of football whenever it would go to commercial. Japan is also our closest competition in the IFAF World Championship of American Football and almost won against the us back in 2007.

All the joking in this thread aside, I would actually like to know about NFL fan support in Japan. I already know some about European fans but like how do fans watch in Japan. Is there an avid bar where they congregate?

Don't know how they watch games in Japan, but here in China, we barely have tv broadcast Panthers games, actually not many live NFL games. However, one Internet TV named LETV will broadcast 2 games each week.

For me, I watch games through Internet website if I want to watch live games, if not, I will download games from one website named TYT.

A few bars in some big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou have ASN and guys can watch games there.

The main problem is the time difference, 1pm game means 3am, Sunday night means Monday morning.

It is bad enough in Europe, but at least I can watch the 1pm game at 7pm without compromising work (not that I care for our games). When I worked in Korea I gave up watching live.

I watch all the live games if Panthers from 2008 to 2011 when I was a student in university, after graduating, I watch 2-3 important live games in the regular season.

When I say "live" games, I mean I check the Gamecast page of ESPN and stare at that page, check the stats, moniter those plays in words, no video at all before I find a streaming website.

That sucks especially in winter. Sleepy and cold even if I'm in the bed.

Here comes a panthers fan in japan. and yes, I'm a japanese.

I've watched this forum several years, and registered in 2010.

But I've never participated in discussion. Because my english has been so poor.

But in this topic, you all are interested in panthers fans in japan and I was glad that.

So this is my first post and can i join the huddle ?

Anyway, thank you all for talking about japanese fans.

Hi,rayzor. thank you for welcoming .

On your post, you mean One Dollar Validate to Post for newcomers, right?

I think that the reason I was able to post is that I've already registered before.

So I technically could post but you think I better follow the procedure.

Am I correct?
