Peyton is somehow worse than 2009 Jake but his defense has been bailing him out so well that people kind of swept it under the rug until now. After 2 losses and 6 interceptions between them, can't ignore it anymore.

It's a sad reality of the NFL that the majority of star players tend to stick around too long, generally because they want to go out winners.

Very, very few actually get that wish. John Elway and Michael Strahan are the only ones who come to mind for me.

Honestly they should have done this earlier. If any QB could sit out the first 8 games and step in right away and click with the team it's Manning. He is just too physically gone to play a full season + playoffs.

I pretty much thought he was done last year, but the 1 complete game I watched this year, he was putting decent zip on the ball.

That's the issue with nerve injuries though. He may have a few good games here and there, but it doesn't look like he can put up any kind of consistent performance.

Manning is going to be an awesome coordinator and probably a hell of a head coach too.

He pulled a 2008-10 Hurney, but with much better talent.
