As a color blind person, I hope you fuging run into a problem where you have to complain about something that you can't help.

The NFL is right to take it seriously (there is already talks about how they will use color blind tests for future uniform displays)

30 million males in America alone are color blind. Yeah, let's not count them.

It's something like 1 in 12 or 1 in 20 males are color blind.

Didn't know we had any color blind folks on here. Interesting.

i have Deuteranopia and i don't promote that I am color blond because people hear those words and then they ask, "Can you see any color" and "What color is that?" and point to 100 objects around the room.

Same. The bullshit questions always pop up. Like the guy asking how color blind people get their license. Wtf.

I dated a girl in college who, when she found out I was colorblind, went thru my closet and put together my clothes for me for a week without asking. And then from then on at random times she would ask me stupid poo like that guy about the traffic lights and poo.

Its not a bullshit question, its one of the most commonly asked questions about color blindness.  Of course you could see a light on a stop light at night and tell if it was the top light or the bottom that was lit up but can a color blind person see it in the day, especially facing the sun.  As someone who is not color blind it is a very legit question.

Would this be your position if you were color blind?

Just asking.  I see this as a good reason NOT to wear certain colors.

I didn't realize the number was that high. I'm sorry for being a dick about it guys. Forgive my ignorance.

You are not a dick--we all say things like that.   I appreciate your response ---it is aligned with the class you normally display.

Thank you. I hate being a jerk about things and when I'm called out, I want to make amends as quickly as possible.

For the record, I do now think that the NFL should take whatever means necessary to make sure the colorblind can differentiate between the teams in a game.

They are not really red and green.  Green is a blue green.  There are strict rules regarding the red and green color for exactly this reason

I don't think colorblindness means what you think it means. Yes, I can physically tell which light is lit up, because it's an illuminated light, no matter the color. Staring into it with the sun behind it is about the same as someone that's not colorblind staring into it.

Then, you also have to factor that LED traffic lights illuminate slightly different, giving a blueish hue to the green light.

On top of that, you're also making the assumption that every colorblind person has deuteranopia which is not the case at all.

    • in starts, he has played better, been more efficient and outproduced Bryce by virtually every statistical metric that exists in 2025.  And has the 2 head to heads over Carolina.  I mean, your jaw should hit the floor.  But not for the reason you are implying.  That freaking stings.  Denying these realities isn't going to help the Panthers build a better team going forward.
    • He is basically having a polar opposite rookie season than Bryce. 4-3 as a starter on a very bad team.  68% for 237 passing yards and 19 rush per game. 9 TDs,  6 TOs in his starts.  and folks acknowledge the surprisingly play because no one thought poo of the random 2nd rounder and he is player better as a rookie thus far than so many prized picks did as a rookies (not just Bryce but a boatload of dudes).   It's only a sour issue to give someone props because he is a Saint and of course the Bryce thing.  It's like giving the TE in Clev props for having near identical production as the chosen one Tyler Warren.  Fannin is having a great rookie season in a very bad spot.
    • This is a very weird take. The reason Shough doesn't deserve it is because he's only started 7 games. He's doing crazy well for a rookie and out playing plenty of vets with a worse roster. He's waaay above league average in a number of categories during his starts and he passes the eye test in game by making plays. Meanwhile Bryce Young had one of the worst rookie seasons of all time. Still TMac deserves it more. It's only been 7 games for Shough so he doesn't deserve any awards. Even if he gets to 9 he doesn't.
