Rivera is right, I really hope he can keep the team in that sort of mentality. Complacency is for chumps.

That said, we're just a bunch of stupid fans. We're free to think what we want to think.

Well you got me there on the stupid part..

But how about instead each week we focus on going 1-0..then what?

Scolding someone for predicting 16-0 at this point instead of focusing on one game at a time is the same as scolding someone for making a preseason prediction on what the team's record will be that year. We're simply making predictions, we're not the ones having to gameplan and put in hours of practice and play these teams. Relax.

Appreciate it. I guess that dude thinks he suits up on Sundays.

We don't need to attack each other on this forum. What are we; Falcon's fans?

I mean maybe PanthersGOATFan336 is Mike Tolbert or something, if so, I agree with him. If not, predicting 16-0 is perfectly fine.

we don't have to focus on one game at a time.

the players and the coaches should, but there's no benefit or cost to us thinking down the road. we can't effect it, so why not think more than one game ahead?

Then why stop at 19-0 lets start speculating on 38-0...

See how silly that sounds..you take one game at a a time. I mean that's all they can play right?

doesn't sound so silly. i mean what's so bad about it? i'm calling this the beginning of a dynasty. does that bother you? i've got confidence in what this team can do. don't you?

we're quite possibly going to at least 16-0 and we aren't at full strength. next year we get KB back and it looks like we'll have pretty much everyone back , plus we have another offseason with gettleman dealing with FA and the draft.

there's no reason we can't do this again next year. we'll be better.

The road ahead gets a little fuzzier after next year with some big time free agents that will need to be signed. That said, we do have our two best players signed long term, which is nice. There's no doubt that well be the favorite to take the division next year.

I'm of the one game at a time mentality. Nothing wrong with merely discussing the rest of the schedule though.

The main factor in looking ahead though is, things can change quite a bit in the NFL within one week with different teams moving up, and down. You can't necessarily expect to get the same team that another team may have beaten the week prior. Especially as you get closer to the playoffs where everyone is fighting for a spot.

If you're a fan of the team you should also be a fan of the team's philosophy

    • Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season.   Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush.  The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
