Childhood Hero

Pie or comment if this was one of your childhood heroes.  I won't go through all his movies but as "cheesy" as some of them may look today...for the time they were bad ass.

I discussed this with many guys in Special Operations and First Blood was a big motivator for many guys, including myself.

BTW- First Blood is highly underrated, it's not as "fakey" as the Rambo series.

Big ups to the 80's and in the pic he is wearing Ranger panties.

To be honest I never really got into those movies.  Never really was into any movies back then.  Late 80's I was in high school and was more into music and hanging with friends (obviously not at the movies).

And we were looking at the tight  jeans and the big hair :)

Neg rep to infinity, and beyond.

Seriously though.

Arnold's movies during the peak of his popularity were cheesy, and over the top, but that is the point. His action movies in the 80's were just pure swinging dick bad assery bursting at the seams with one liners. Movies like Commando are among my favorites. The scene below is an example of what I'm talking about.

Yea man that's some good stuff! I think Arnold was the king of one liners. It's weird, if you go back and watch those movies they are almost like comedy's now. It must not have been cool to look through the sites and aim in the 80's. They all just point and shoot. Ha

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
