Here is a very telling, depressing stats from Peter King...

"In his last 22 series as quarterback for the Panthers, Delhomme has thrown nine interceptions and lost two fumbles, an amazing streak of incompetence.

In 2008, three quarterbacks played complete seasons and turned it over less that Delhomme has done in the last seven quarters: Jason Campbell (553 combined passes-rushes) seven turnovers, Kerry Collins (440) eight, and Chad Pennington (506) eight."

For his part, Delhomme doesn't appear to be suffering any lingering effects from his playoff performance. He spent part of his off-season on his southern Louisiana horse farm, clearing his head and preparing for the start of a new season.

In the aftermath of the playoff loss he fielded telephone calls for a week from friends worried about his state of his mind. "It became comical after a while," Delhomme says. "They were pretty much in shock for me and feeling sorry for me. I had to cheer them up: 'Don't anybody feel sorry for me. I'm living, I'm breathing, I'm fine.' "

His head isn't on straight and if his incompetence continues, he'll be spending some quality time in the horse stalls back in Louisiana.

maybe after the First Series(AZ and Philly debacles) they are stealing our plays and know whats coming? How else to explain a 50% TO ratio, but that somehow in BofA the opposition has figured out after the first series how to read everything we are going to do before we do it.

/conspiracy theory

Here's another "telling stat":

He's 12-6 over his last 18 games.

Oh God, dont give me that poo....hes well on his way to being 0-18 in his next 18 games the way he is going.

Look, I have been one of the biggest defenders of Jake lately, just check my posts. But sometimes you just have to call the baby ugly....even if it is your baby.

    • He's handing off play calling duties to fuging Brad Idzik as well so, either that mouth breather can run the playbook and Canales can grow as an all around head coach or it will be a horrible decision and both of them and BY can screw off. I'm fine with that as long as it isn't just another excuse for BY to get another year with another coach worthy of working around his limitations as a qb.
    • Not only for Andersen but the whole team, having not beat the Habs this season before tonite.  Shows them that they aren't jinxed.
    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
