Mr. Scot

Actually, everything I posted has been said and alluded to by experts close to the situation.

He gutted the roster...fact

He wanted complete control of all decision and made horrible ones...fact

He was said to never communicate with his coaches and players...fact

Many players were bashing him...fact

He won games early with Reid's roster and a gimmick offense.  Defenses adapted and their offensive scheme was exposed.

Lurie has a long history of sticking with coaches abs giving guys more opportunities than they deserved.  The fact that he made this decision when he did shows there were serious issues with Kelly

Thanks for playing though

Smh... No you are so far off the mark again. No surprise.

Everything you said has been speculated by media members not close to the situation but talking on it.

He made roster changes. Which was in his power to do. Traded for Kiko, traded for Sam, got two rbs for the price of one. Maclin took more money. Was Gettleman a bad GM when he gutted our receiver corps and oline then we had a 7-8-1 season? Oh you mean we gave him time for his plan work out? Oh you don't say.

speculation and your opinion. Not fact

many players = only McCoy who was a cry baby all season about business. Not fact

again do you even watch football? Wtf is that garbage you just wrote. That isn't even remotely close to the truth. The same Reid roster that went 4-12 before chip got there is suddenly good enough to go 10-6 back to back years? And that's with nick foles and mark Sanchez at QB. Yeah right.

and finally, not even remotely close to the truth. He stuck with Reid. Where is this long history of sticking with coaches? He stuck with one and a pretty damn good one.

the ACTUAL facts of the situation are that he went 26-21 through three seasons. Lurie wanted control back. Chip said no. Lurie had to fire him to save face.

What aren't facts and just pure speculation and lunacy on your part is everything you've posted that you were so happy to regurgitate from the sports media like a good little sheep you are.

now thanks for playing.

I think he'll learn from his mistakes and become a good coach in Tennessee where the pressure isn't as high. Belichick sucked his first tenure as well. I am in no way saying he is close to Belichick but I think its too soon to completely write him off as a bad NFL coach. A lot of you are overreacting.

Haven't read something that stupid since yesterday in the tinderbox.

Even his players were saying that it was about time....look at the quotes in Mr Scott's post right above yours.

Also, Lane Johnson (their right tackle) said his ego got in the way....was not human about things...would not work with anyone on the team...that he was a dictator.

only teams that I think would hire him are Cleveland and Tenn.  Cleveland has proven they will always hire a crappy coach....and Tenn could think that just maybe he could be reunited with Mariotta and possibly recreate some of that Oregon magic.

you should just stop now

It's like you got schooled and are trying to have someone else bail you out. Regardless if some  players thought that means nothing to why he was fired or even addresses or helps your previous posts.

You can't say things like "it was said he never communicated with players or coaches" then call it fact. Do you know what words mean? And you are trying to call me stupid? Lol child please

So your arguement is that it doesn't really matter what his current and past players say...that YOU actually know better.

You are getting to the point of PantherUnited levels for posting stupid poo...you really should stop.  Unless looking like a fool is what you are actually going for.

if we are going to let knowledgable people handle our arguments for us I guess you can call this checkmate from one of the greatest coaches in the sport.

Coaches never like seeing other coaches fired...if you think that is checkmate, you are playing the wrong game

It's not about him liking it. It's him realizing and stating the fact one year to build a program in the NFL is impossible. Lurie is going the Browns route to regain power. Not because chip is a bad coach or whatever other nonsense you were spitting off about. You're not even in the league I'm playing in.

you ladies started by arguing different points, and have gotten so deep into throwing insults that you don't even know what you were talking about.

Coolin is right that Kelly had a good start, and shouldn't have been fired after 1 meh season, when he won 20 games in the two prior seasons.

Hatter is right that Kelly wasn't fired because of his record on the field, but because he's a giant dickwad and they don't agree with his offseason moves.

Your reading comprehension is laughably bad dude. If that's what you think my posts are saying you are in far more trouble than I thought lol

But I'm arguing that what players thought isn't the reason he got fired but that he wouldn't give up the control he fought for and Lurie had to fire him to save face. Which is actually how it went down so this nonsense that every player hated him isn't the reason but it's a hot take folks like hatter here can regurgitate without having any real knowledge of the situation.

Agreed. A coach shouldn't be fired after one losing season, following 2 10 win ones.

However, it's his off the field stuff (player relations), and his record as a GM that's eye brow raising. And if Laurie, asked him to step back his GM Powers, and Kelly refused, then he deserved to be let go.

Wonder if he's being paid (i.e., is this considered breach of contract by refusing to relinquish his GM role)??...Some how I doubt it. But I hope so.
