This is about how Cutler sucks, I agree. I am not the one making a Jake thread but saying for the value and cost, Cutler is worst so far this year. Sorry your supposedly hero has sucked so bad this year.

Again expand your minature mind. Jake can suck but no one said he is a franchise quarterback and he didnt cost an arm and a leg to get like Cutler. For the money, picks and expectations, Cutler has been worse than Jake.

It isn't that hard to figure out.

I seem to have misplaced my mind expander, dick.

Mmmkay. I don't know why you're being such a dick to me, but whatever. At least Cutler will have the opportunity to improve and progress. Delhomme, on the other hand, is done.

You accuse me of slurping on another man's genitals and then say I am being a dick???

As for Jake, of course he is on the way out, how is that news? No one is saying anything positive about Jake here. I am comparing which one is a worse value for the money, picks, and expectations and Cutler comes out on top. Why are you being so defensive?

This goes to show you, a decent QB can't do it alone, when his receivers can't get open, the same problem our team has had. But our team is a little different. We have a great running game, and it took the coaches the first quarter of the season to remember this. I think they want to be fired. Maybe they looking to coaching the Chargers, Cowboys, or the Falcons!

not quite... as much as i've been a jake supporter in the past, i think benching him was absolutely the correct decision, and if he doesn't show he's over it for good by the first half of the ATL game, he needs to be sat down permanently.

however, it also needs to be noted that there are more factors involved in stats that just the number. Most fans hear "four interceptions" and absolutely poo themselves, dig the poo out of their underwear and start throwing it all willy nilly and demanding the backup QB no matter what.

It's a stupid reaction. The Jay Cutler analogy serves to point out that four interceptions does not necessarily make a quarterback bad. It can, and it usually is a good indicator, but not always.

I think most of the fans are more upset with the WAY that Jake looked while stinking it up. Frankly, it's hard to accept any argument against the fact that he has lost his confidence. It's like watching a pitcher in baseball all of a sudden just lose his control or a golfer get a case of the "yips" while putting. I mean, he really did(less so now, admittedly) look lost out there. Really though, the biggest thing is the he was, at best, a game-managing QB, so he doesn't have that room for error that a Manning, Brady, etc.(unfair comparison, I realize) do.

What??????????? You're obviously assuming a whole lot here, man. "slurping on another man's genitals" Seriously?? Never heard of "drinking/slurping the kool aid?"

Why are you being so defensive?

What's "defensive" about me saying Delhomme is on his last leg while Cutler is not?

You're the one who said, "This is about how Cutler sucks." So, how can you even ask why I'm "defensive" of my QB?

Dude, I can't help that you've gone out of your way to be a dick to me in this thread for some reason.... don't go trying to conjure a BS reason for doing so.

That is BS, you and I both know what you were talking about. And after 2600 posts you know I don't randomly pick people to take offense without reason. You don't pull off the victim role well at all.

cutler is overrated and a punk kid.

don't want him, never did.

don't want jake either.

looks like the bears got hosed in that deal. dug themselves in that hole by giving that much up for a QB who doesn't win but has great skills when you don't have an oline that can block for him or any receivers that can catch what he throws....the bears make being a panthers fan not so bad to deal with this year.

:iamwithstupid:

I don't care about what happens on the field. If someone cries off the field away from the coaches and players then I wouldn't want that guy on my team. Speaks alot about the guys character. Cutler was trying to play the innocent role and be a media baby. I'm glad we never see Jake doing that kinda ish.

Dang, now you're even telling me how I intended my words. Sweet.

Who's being a victim? I just don't understand why you went complete dick on me when we've been pretty cool with each other throughout.

Whatever. Moving on.

I like my quarterback. He will come around. Hopefully, the defense will as well

I haven't changed. I don't take things that personally nor do I hold grudges. It is the internet and a message board. I am more than willing to decide obviously that I must have read something into it that wasn't intended so I'm sorry if things have gone sour for no reason.:cheers2:

    • WR: Nico, Woods, Tank (R) TE: Schultz OL: Tunsil/Howard/Deiter/Mason/Fant vs. WR: Chark, Thielen, Mingo (R) TE: Hurst OL: Icky/Zavala (R)/Bozeman/Jensen (R)/Moton   Panthers' had the better OL before losing BC week 1 and AC week 4 which is kind of ironic considering how in the following year DB went down in W1 and Shaq in W4 resulting in the defense going all to Hell. CJ has done amazing in Houston, but he also wasn't asked to carry Zavala, Jensen, Mingo, Hurst, and Chark as a rookie.
    • Past 5 seasons, IMO CJ Stroud and Joe Burrow are the 2 best young QBs that have emerged in the league in that window.  They also didn’t need vets to be their primary pass catchers.  They helped fellow youngsters be great at WR.   almost all the other young QBs have been paired up with vets in their top options….and haven’t been as promising.  so it isn’t Madden.  But the league hasn’t played out as you suggest it does.   Good QBs make others around them better.
    • In 2023 their roster wasn’t stacked. They nailed the poo out of the 2023 draft and since they knew Davis Mills wasn’t the guy, they tanked properly to get pick 2. They also took Cleveland’s ridiculous offer for Watson unlike us with Burns. Houston received enough draft capital to jump up to 3 while picking up the right guys in Anderson and Stroud. The Texans were not stacked or better than us in 2023. They had 11 total wins from 2020 to 2022. They didn’t have a terrible front office so they made sure they got their QB of the future while tanking well and getting more draft picks. They are a textbook study of what we should have done in 2022/2023 offseason even though people in here still think tanking is a bad word and our culture would be bad if we were the Texans. We literally had the chance to be the Texans right now and fuged it up.
