I said the same exact thing yesterday. If Gano just kicks it out of the endzone to start the half and the Hawks have to go 80 yards the whole game wouldve been different. Instead that big return and penalty completely gave them life and shifted the momentum.

Seems to me a few years ago, when Rivera was still a new head coach, he had our kicker intentionally kick towards a famous return specialist playing for Chicago IIRC.  That didn't work out too well either.

We know Gano can kick beyond the end zone why take a chance for a return when everyone knows our special teams is our Achilles' heel?

Speaking of that penalty, did anyone ever see what happened?

I didn't. I was at the game & they didn't replay it on the big screen. I also just watched the game on NFL Game Pass & they didn't show it either. They only showed Jones talking to the ref. Coaches film won't be available until tomorrow.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
