And here you go trying to make comments that aren't relevant to the article and if anything is counter-intuitive to what Cam and Rivera would want to be known as. In case you didn't know, that is as a Head Coach, and quarterback. Not a hispanic head coach, and african-american quarterback.

As such, you could've typed in ladies and you would've been fine.

Kiss my white ass.

Parents/Writers son (who's also a big Cam Newton fans), talks about how Cam Newton got his son to eat Yogurt, and he thinks it's a good thing.

Touchdown Dance: How Cam Newton Got My Kid To Eat (Slightly) Better

Hard to believe as it seems, just a few months ago, we were talking about the absurd question of whether or not Cam Newton is a good role model. Now, heading into the Super Bowl vortex where Newton will be the headliner, following a season where he will almost certainly be named NFL Most Valuable Player, now he is invaluably helping me parent.=http:>

To set the scene: Sunday afternoon, my 9-year-old kid -- previously established as idolizing Cam Newton -- has settled in to watch the conference-championship games.=http:>

This ad appears:

(It's been around a few weeks, but it's new to him.)

It sparks this conversation:

Me: "Would you try yogurt?"

Him: "No."

Me: "Cam Newton eats it."

Him: "OK."

Getting kids to try to eat better has been an issue as long as family dinners -- and broccoli -- have existed. I don't have excessively high expectations -- my kid is not a good eater. (As a kid, I wasn't a good eater, either, but the legacy of him carrying my baggage is for another column.)

At this point, yogurt would be a huge leap.

Yes, I know that Oikos is in the business of me buying their yogurt. Yes, I know that they paid Newton to be their public face precisely because it might get his legion of fans (especially kids) to try -- and their parents to buy -- their particular yogurt.

It is the same strategy that Cam and Beats deployed to create what is undoubtedly the catchphrase of the season for kids: "Too bad they don't make Band-Aids for feelings."

It is the same strategy that has my kids and all their friends begging for Under Armour every time we pass a Dick's Sporting Goods or see an ad on TV -- be like Cam, be like Steph, be like Brady, be like Bryce.

If you set aside the marketing for a minute, I am 100 percent comfortable with the idea that a catchy ad on TV featuring my kid's favorite athlete convinces him to eat even slightly more healthfully. It is right in line with the now-famous football giveaway after all his touchdowns -- an incredible lesson in joy and generosity for kids (and adults) to see and that I'm thrilled has become as much of a must-see moment as the TD itself, if only to get super-slo-mo of the kids' ecstatic faces.

That's a pretty good role for Newton to play in our kids' lives. Being a parent is hard enough; I'll gladly accept the help in this case.

So people like you and your pornographic language in public.

In front of ladies.

And children.

Well then...

LMAO!!! Are you serious right now? Idk what kinda ladies you hang around (if any) but many many women are more "pornographic" as you put it, than I ever could be.

tiger, I'm really sorry if I insulted your fragile sensibility.

Love this article.  I echo most of her reasons, including the sentiment that Cam is fine.  Love watching him play.  His joy in the game, his competitiveness, and what he and so many Panthers players do to serve Charlotte and other communities are what drew me to start getting interested in the Panthers a few years ago after 20 or so years of pretty much ignoring the NFL.

I see that you obviously hang around a different "class" of women than I do.

If that's your thing, that's your thing.

Carry on with yo' bad self.
