T-Mitchell Schwartz played for the Browns...enough said. No one watched him play but he graded out as one of the top RT pass blockers in the league

T-Kelvin Beachum played for the Steelers but is coming off of an ACL injury. Before he got hurt he held the LT spot down with success.

here is a list of the ones I think could be a surprise Gettleman find and you will be like who?:

DT Ian Williams 49ers (85.6 rating from PFF) age 27 6'1 305. listed as NT and played in 3-4 scheme. Could be good depth.

Rodney McLeod Safety Rams (83.9 rating from PFF) age 25: 82 tackles 1 INT  3 FF : 2015

George Iloka Safety Bengals age 26 (82.6 rating from PFF) dude is 6'4 225. 47 tackles 1 INT

Trumaine Johnson CB Rams age 26 (82.2 rating) 6'2 DB 71 tackles and 7 INT!

Brandon Boykin CB Steelers age 26

Matt Kahlil LT Vikies (brother of Ryan)

Michael Griffin Safety Titans.

Way too early wish list:

Rod Streater WR Oak- might be a bargain and a steal

Matt Forte RB Chi- chance to win a ring and will be able to split the workload with J-stew ; plus I just want him because every time he plays us he runs all over us

Eric Weddle S SD- pipe dream, but during Rivera's first year here there were rumors that we tried to sign him until he ulitmately re-signed with SD

William Moore S Atl- fits the mold perfectly of a Gettleman signing- division rival safety, see: Harper, DeCoud

Janoris Jenkins CB Stl- guy has all the talent in the world, probably a pipe dream

Malik Jackson DT Den- definitely not happening but iWant

Haloti Ngata DT Det- maybe not quite as far off as you think- Gettleman loves to rotate in veteran Hawg Mollies

Mark Barron LB/S - We were definitely targeting him before the Bucs (thank god) took him before us so we drafted Luke. Call me crazy but I think Ron could get the best out of this guy.

Dwayne Allen TE Ind- keep an eye out for a possible Dickson replacement

Brain Quick WR Stl- widely inconsistent and oft-injured but certainly talented - went to college at App st. could really benefit from stable QB play

Obviously we aren't going to sign this many people and Gettleman won't sign any of these guys, but its fun playing the Huddle version of Madden

    • I'm super excited about the guys we're getting back, and fortunately this year, outside of Robert Hunt, we haven't had any season-threatening injuries. Rico has earned the start, but I am excited to have both available.  The team is finally turning into the run-first team Canales said he wanted to be. As for JT Sanders, I think he has lost the most be being out. He is probably our best receiving TE, but with the emergence of Mitchell Evans & with him and Tommy Tremble both absolutely balling in run blocking, it will be hard to fix something that isn't broken. I'm hoping Turk Wharton can help with our pass rush. We really havent gotten to see him much due to injuries, but we desperately need anyone to provide some pass rush juice, which is what he was brought to do. I'm the most excited about Jalen Coker returning. Theilen may have been the most clutch last year, but I've watched a lot of film, and Coker was the most consistent WR we had when he was out there last year.  I think he can be an ideal #2 to Tmac. While Coker doesn't have the raw athleticism XL does, his route running, savvy, and overall football IQ simply make him better.  I think with the fact Coker can play both outside and in the slot will give our pass game more versatility.  We have been running a lot of 2 TE sets, and I think Tmac & Coker should be the primary WRs for 12 personnel. The other WRs (XL, Tremayne, Renfrow, & Horn) all have roles, but I dont think any of them can fully replace what Coker can do. I do think Renfrow will be inactive this week if everyone is healthy bc of how valuable Tremayne is for ST and as a run blocker. So happy that we are playing meaningful football heading into November. We are still almost certainly a year away, but we are absolutely moving in the right direction
    • Better than a fragile starter, though
