Spencer Percy: Concerning Dwight Howard-#Hornets rumor, @QCHblog source tells me: “the team is definitely serious about Dwight.” Hornets would have to part ways with a future 1st-round pick to land DH, and as hellbent as MJ is on the playoffs, it’s questionable at best.

Kemba - Lin
Batum - Daniels
PJ - Lamb
Hawes - Frank
Dwight - Cody

Top 4-5 seed in the East.. possibly top 2-3

Get Hawes TF outta' there, put in Frank and this IS a top 2 team in the East. Dwight is literally a walking embodiement of the interior toughness that this team sorely lacks.

Dwight would make us better than he would make Miami. We have the perfect team to plug Dwight into. A pick and roll pg with lots of three point shooting. He would basically be Whiteside in Miami only older, it would be a truly neutral move for them.

ya'll are crazy.. you need superstars to win in this league.. shoot, you need 3 to be a title contender. 2 to be in the conference conversation and at least 1 to even think about the playoffs. we need to start with 1 star on this team. you have been so starved of talent that you think MKG is a star. let me tell you - HE AIN'T. I love him to death but he just isn't.

You guys are like "But but, Dwight would mess up the locker room!?!" -- What locker room?? Kemba and Batum are the closest things to stars we have - and Batum is gone if we don't do something soon and make a playoff run..

We bring in Dwight and we lose Al and Marvin and a 1st rounder?? That is not mortgaging our future. Jefferson's best days are behind him and Marvin ain't really spring chicken either. besides- they are both expiring contracts. they aren't part of the future.

If you have the chance to bring in Dwight - you do it. If you don't even want us to try - that's like a homeless person turning down a steak because it is well-done when they prefer it to be medium-rare.. insane

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
