When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong

Recommended Posts

So apparently Deangelo Williams didnt have nice things to say about Peyton on the day of his retirement. He was even on MikeandMike backing up his twitter post this morning and saying he meant what he said and will never apologize. He did offered up some bogus lie to say he didnt know Peyton was retiring yesterday because he was in Egypt and apparently the country of Egypt doesn't have internet. He got back on Twitter after MikeandMike thinking he won..BUT that was not the case..

Karma is a bitch it seems..especially for Twitter Fingers Deangelo Williams..

He still has love for the Panthers and he's bitter his boys didn't bring home the ship after they had a great year. If that's not the truth then he really has no reason to even open his mouth on the subject.

I don't really think he still has love for the Panthers. After posting his releasing letter and then getting into it with fans, he doesn't strike me as still liking CAR.

Um No according to his MikeandMike interview this morning he was just wanting to show his analyst skills because someday he wants to be on TV..

yeah he really got love for the Panthers after he posted his termination letter..

I didn't mean the Panthers as an organization, but more for his friends on the team.

He came out prior to the Super Bowl and said he hoped neither team won.

Kinda disrespectful to his former teammates, honestly.

Yeah.  i found it pretty immature on his part.

Honestly I would be too if I were in his situation. Being cut from a team after giving them the best years of your career, and they go on to the Superbowl is rough. I would have carried myself with more dignity, but inside I'd be saltier than Country Ham garnished with a canister of Morton's. Or maybe I'd be out in public screaming fug everybody, but sending texts to my buddies saying good luck when I get home. Players aren't robots. They are people with pride, emotions, feelings, and poo.

He's not wrong?

Manning wasn't anywhere near the player he used to be in 2015.  Nobody doubts that.

Even so, Williams made enough of an ass of himself that his head coach stepped in and tweeted for him to shut up.  Mind you. Tomlin could quite easily have approached him privately, but instead chose a very public rebuke.

It's pretty much his own fault he's not here, though.

Maybe if he would have worked as hard while he was still here as he did last year, he'd have had a chance.  But in reality, after he got his ridiculous deal from Hurney, he didn't live up to it.  And then once we got a GM that actually insisted he live up to his deal or be let go, he got salty.

And even so, none of that excuses him bailing on his old teammates.  He could very easily have said something like he was pulling for them even though he was mad at the front office.  Instead, he went with a dumb statement like "hope nobody wins".
