Jason Spriggs is a very athletic LT that will be there at 30. He's not ready to start today, but after a season behind Oher and working with House to improve his strength and Matsko to improve his technique , and he has a huge ceiling. I know that a lot depends on the 29 teams picking before us, and who is available but I would approve of this pick.

Judging just the combine (which is an afterthought to film), Henry and Spriggs were my favorite players.

I've watched some film on him (youtube highlights which obviously will be biased), and plays fast and smart. Since we are in the enviable position of not needing a starter this year, it might be a good time to pick up a future franchise player.

In no fuging way will OT be a top priority in our draft. We like Oher, Gettleman already said Remmers didn't lose his job and we are grooming Williams....you only got 53 the roster guys. That leaves only one spot for an OT. Look for an athletic project in late rounds for a Focault replacement.

Hog mollies are always priorities.. Im not sure how you can be so confident that we feel our OT spots are solidified.  Remmers is pretty good, but we've seen he can be a liability at times.. and Oher has one year left on his deal.... And you think there is NO way we would love to take a stud OT if he is available?  That seems pretty shortsighted.

What is the top priority in your mind?  There cant be that many...so you think we should just look at those positions for early round picks?? Thats not our style.

With Gettleman at the helm, i truly believe he will go BPA, even though i know that sounds cliche.. I think he sticks to his guns more than most GMs and thats what makes him so good at his job.

I get that, I do. But I think Gettleman likes BPA at a position of need. Star and Short, DT was a position of need. KB, no details needed. Shaq? Nobody at OLB if Davis went down. Honestly I think our positions of need are S, CB, and TE. Norman is a one year rental, I feel like we are done with Josh after this year. Remmers and Oher have a good shot to stay Panthers going forward.  Darryl Williams In my opinion was drafted to be the RT of the future, so I just don't see OT as a position of need....also I'm just not sold on Spriggs, Conklin, or Decker.

So, who's stepping in at LT if Oher goes down?

As I stated in my initial post. We do need a backup OT to upgrade over Focault, however I do not think we invest an early pick, 1st or 2nd in that. When Gettleman said that we shouldn't overreact on the OT position after the Super Bowl, he had some conviction with that.
