These aren't coaches that are just installing a scheme, but are actually teaching players and bringing them from the bench to the playing field.

I keep thinking back to DG's Combine presser and his quote about "not getting instant oatmeal" anymore.  I think the EXPECTATION DG has instilled into our team that it will take 2 or 3 years for guys to develop, and thus to always be working towards the future rather than the immediate result is HUGE.  It's even changing how we as fans think about the draft, and think about the team.  DG has trained the entire organization, and us, to think differently about what it takes to have long-term success and a winning culture.

His quote (said it multiple times now) is that players now have 3 years to prove they belong on the team.

Really, a player SHOULD have to work to be on the team. It SHOULD take time for a player to see the field after drafts. A rookie on the field should either be a spectacular player or one forced into service due to injuries. And this makes our team stronger. They guys on that field have had to earn those spots, no one has gifted them to them.
