Good job getting leveled.  A look at my titan: https://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/Gear/1/4611686018429628678/2305843009215796464

Same goes for me @Doc Holiday i'm willing any time to help out with leveling.  Tag is compton535.  That's assuming you're on xbone.

OMG, I'm so envious of your New Monarch Fur!!!  Dang...And your Shadow Price...

Sadly, my in-laws are coming Friday so that night is shot.  I'll be on Saturday evening if I don't pass out, or my wife has "plans" for me.  I hope I can finish the story by the weekend.  I want to get Joulder's Artifact.  Never not sprint!

After diving a little deeper into the RoI today here are some thoughts:

1. Community events are fun and very rewarding. good stuff.

2. the plague lands layout is a little confusing.  Its not just a straight up area, some of the map goes down very far.

3. You can climb the mountain top, i got about 3/4 of the way up there before my checkpoint reset due to a bad fall. I'm very curious to see what is at the top.

pro tip: if you're stuck at 350 light runt the Sepiks perfected strike at light level 320. Blues drop at higher than your light level. Jumped from 350-356 after running around ~12 times

I have see so many different videos and guides for how to level quickly.  Strikes and Archon Forge seem to be the most popular for getting those high level blues.  Another source Iv'e seen are the strike chests, but you need keys.  I guess you have to be really good with your fire team to make that happen.  Don't forget that faction packages go up to 385 as well.  I've also seen reports of Challenge of the Elders giving up to 365 light items as well.

For number 3, the top has an outlook that looks down on the Observatory and a dormant SIVA cluster.  This year, I'm going to be much more proactive in getting those collectibles (oh my few Calcified fragments...).  I spent 20 minutes yesterday, and I got up the narrow ledge, but I bounced off and never made it back up.  Getting up is a real pain!  Some also theorize that's where Effridte's camp.

Just picked this up a couple of days ago.

http://destinydb.com/article/1250/trespasser-exotic-sidearm-review-perks-and-build-guide

I have never been a fan of sidearms in Destiny until now.  It is so hard top put this "Robocop" gun down.  The three round burst is on point.  Using this in the Archon forge just tears through the adds.  I love it when a Captain appears.  With well placed shots it has the stopping power that I haven't seen in any side arm TBH.

It has preformed up to snuff in crucible as well.

ugh man I kinda hate raiding. Sometimes it goes fine, but more often than not there is one jackass who just starts blaming someone for everything.

Usually I'm quiet on the mic and just do my job and don't get called out. But tonight some jackass kept badgering me every-time we wiped-like it was my fault that we weren't clearing stages when everyone in the raid was blind.

/rant, poo like that just makes the game not fun for everyone.

That's why I generally only raid with people I know.   Yeah it isn't as frequent as I would like but Meh.  Better than dealing with asshats.

It's a bit of upfront work but it seems you almost have to schedule a raid.

Sorry man.  Do you have a clan?  Or through a 100.io group?  I'm pretty much going to swear off pug raids.  I've got a pretty good Clan in Safe Gamers if you're interested.  Or Guardian Radio has a list of clans that are pretty positive and looking for members.

I did Archon's Forge last night with a clan mate(after finishing my khlastov quest).  We went in there for like 2 hours!  It was great except that folks on their Siva offering would jump on the dome and one shot the boss.  Unless it was the 370 boss..that was tough!  I did get the last shot on it!!!  I just wish folks wouldnt try to simple hoard the boss kill.

But I did manage 4 legendary Titan capes and a chest piece.  My teammates were getting guns left and right.  Go RNGesus!  But over all it was a blast!  I look forward to more trips there.

I don't have a clan, but that might be something worth looking into. Thank you for your advice.

Yea I mean I play this game to have fun. It's not fun when someone is criticizing your every move. I was either not doing enough or doing too much, every.fuging.encounter.

I completely agree!  I don't like playing with toxic players.  I have left several lfg groups becuase of that BS.  If it's not fun, I'll stop playing.  I mean, I'm still level 13 in the Division!

Oh, and I have to say that last story mission is pretty epic.  One of my favorite so far!  It's also a good exotic/3oC farming spot too.  I'll have to try that at some point.

Quick question while I'm thinking about it. Is it worth it to swap your faction once a week?  I'm at rank 10 for the FWC, but wondering if I should swap to get rewards faster.

I'm at 352, I believe. I'm be on in probably 30 minutes if anyone wants to play for an hour or two.

I'd be leary of that.  When you swap factions, you can't start getting rewards until reset.  So do it Monday night, then on Tuesday after reset, you can level you other factions.

I'm thinking of dropping FWC.  Their gear is OK, but the DO guns have better archetypes.  Or even NM.  FWC was awesome in TTK, but not so great now.

I'm planning to hit at least one Heroic Strike when I get home approx 3:15 pm EST if anyone is on =)

I was looking at it this morning, but the FWC guns just aren't that great.  The Hand Cannon is just OK, but nothing compared to the Crucible Vendor roll (God Roll FTW!).  I did like 5 packages with them, 2 pulse rifles, the HC, the Sidearm (all side arms are pretty beastly), and did an armor one (helm??).  I did get a 352 Ghost though, so cool beans.

Honestly, I have always loved the dark asethic of Dead Orbit.  I've always like the regal appearance of NM.  I have all three on my three characters, but I think I might bail on FWC simply because their gear isn't too awesome.

Though I like their lore a lot more.  Leads some interesting thought ideas about the Exo Stranger, Time Travel and The Deepstone Crypt.

    • Nothing wrong with starting to look for bodies early. It's a long injury filled season. I doubt we get through unscathed.
    • We're in alignment regarding Thielen not being a game changer/breaker for the Panthers. Getting the ball into hands of playmakers like TMac and XL is going to open up things more than it is getting it to Thielen underneath (or letting him go after 50/50 balls 20yds downfield in his mid-30s). However, in a room where the other guys are two second year guys and two rookies, having a reliable vet that they can learn from is just as important as it is for the QB to have as a reliable third option. I can see that being worth $8.5M (just 3%) of the $279.2M cap... especially when looking at what's left out there: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/position/wr However, the idea that the team is forcing production to Thielen and leading to losses isn't supported by the data. Targets, not receiving yards, are how you can tell if a player is being "force fed." In the two games mentioned, let's look at the other players available... vs. TB 10 targets - Adam Thielen 9 targets - David Moore 8 targets - Tommy Tremble, Xavier Legette 3 targets - Jonathon Brooks 1 target - Dan Chisena, Feleipe Franks, Stephen Sullivan vs. PHI 11 targets - Adam Thielen 8 targets - Xavier Legette 5 targets - Chuba Hubbard, David Moore 2 targets - Tommy Tremble 1 target - Ja'Tavion Sanders, Deven Thompkins There isn't exactly a bounty of other names to throw the ball to. In those games, AT was one of the top 2 WRs. Diontae had been gone by that point.   So... yea. Agreed that Thielen isn't exactly carrying the team in his mid-30s, but it's undeniable that he was the most reliable target last season that still has quite a bit of value this season. Whether or not that value is reflected in a manner folks think on the contract is going to come down to personal taste. However, the idea that the team was forcing production to AT and that was the reason behind some losses couldn't be further from the truth.
    • I would also add that I think it's more than money.  AT has looked absolutely miserable out there at times, and there was a lot of speculation he would demand to be traded.  Personally, I thought he was a lock to be moved last year.  Maybe his hamstring is the only thing that prevents that from happening. The fact that he's not only willing to come back and play, but excited about it, really bodes well for Bryce.  AT is a veteran and he knows the game.  If he didn't have confidence in Bryce, I guarantee you he wouldn't be in a Panther uniform this year.  I'll take that as a positive.
