who has access to vietnam war surplus gear?

in preparation for a project this fall, i've started collecting surplus vietnam war era gear. i've hit a few army-navy surplus depots in the triad area but haven't made it down to some of the big outlets by the coast. in the meantime i'm curious if anyone has leads on gear, either in your personal possession that i could purchase/rent/borrow or otherwise just places off the radar that might have equipment.

specifically i am looking for:

BDUs (vietnam-style jungle jackets and pants)

Jungle boots (panama sole preferably, but whatever)

Helmet liners (just the liners, not the outer shell)

Mitchell-pattern helmet covers

Flak vests

Web gear (i have the pistol belts covered, as well as suspenders for the most part, but i REALLY need 20-round ammo pouches and tropical rucksacks/ALICE pack variants)

Ammo cans and spent brass (762 and 556)

An M79 thumper prop (airsoft discontinued them and they're running about $500 on ebay now, ugh)

Any ideas/info would be appreciated. Also I need a stationary UH-1D Huey helicopter to use as a prop, so if anyone has one just laying around...

Take a quick day trip to Jacksonville.

i'm headed to beaufort SC next week so i may make a detour to saigon sam's. i remember browsing that place back in the day.

beaufort should have stuff too because it's next to the recruit depot, but i don't know how much army stuff will be there given it's a marine base

Not nearly as much as the random ones in JVille.  We would use Sams to pick up cheap camping supplies from back in my boy scout days.

Beaufort is really quiet. Might have better luck closer to the air station.

    • Could do better could do worse. I've seen some people very indignant over bringing him back and I can absolutely relate to the sentiment. But it's just in a backup role. He's also a good locker room presence and an effort player so for a 1 year rental in a year where we aren't going to do much it's fine. This is a development year. And there will be options if need be at the trade deadline. Besides at the end of the day we all knew a signing like this was around the corner after how drafting Mark Williams ended. He should have been our franchise center for the next several years. I don’t put that failure on the Hornets.
    • No one is upset.  And what I referred has been happening.   Patrick Mahomes has an offseason basketball clause in his contract.  A ton of other physical activites like jet skiing, baseball and all sorts of physical activities are written into his contract.  XL likely already has ATVs and stuff written into his contact.  League already has been inserting a lot of that stuff into basic contracts for non-top tier players and we have seen it pan out.
    • A payment for future production, puts him a cane for 9 seasons.
