Who all is headed to training camp?

I am going for the first time this year and taking my 8 year old son. My wife bought me a very nice black and gold leather Panther football last year (it sounds weird but it is literally the coolest Panther football I have ever seen)

I was wanting to get some autographs (in gold sharpie) and meet some of the players, (and of course watch some practice) what would be the best way to get all that accomplished? The football is going in a glass case as a center piece for my man cave once autographed. Thanks in advance.

I've heard a "rumor" as to how they're going to be managing FanFest this year. Pay attention once they announce the details.

Anyone in opposing fan gear at PANTHER Fan Fest should be stopped at the gate.  Gotta keep out the riffraff.

I'll be here (at Wofford), of course. Will be at the Lowe's Kickoff Party on July 28 -- party from 4:30 to 9 p.m., gates open at 4 p.m. Practice 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Gibbs Stadium.

Will be out at some practices, mostly manning the Panthers Pals sign up. Be sure to bring your kids (ages 6-13) to register.

I continue to urge EVERYONE to pay attention to the parking/traffic patterns information provided here: http://www.panthers.com/schedule/training-camp/directions-and-parking.html

And to the parking map provided here: http://www.panthers.com/assets/docs/training_camp_parking.pdf

Free shuttle service will be provided from the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium parking lot and the St. John Street Parking Deck (Lot G and Lot J on the map), and from the Beaumont Mill lot (Pine Street) (Lot H) on weekends. Handicap parking and shuttle service provided in Lot K (Pinewood Resource Center) at Pine and Pearl Streets, with drop off on Twitty Street at the spectator entrance. Note that Twitty Street will be closed to all traffic/parking except the handicap shuttle. All of the lots on the map provide FREE parking. Note, too, that access to the parking lots on Cumming Street (Lots A and B, across from Gibbs Stadium) will be from Pearl Street - Cumming and Evins streets will be closed to all traffic except for shuttle buses (they likely will be opened for exit following practice). All lots without shuttle service are within walking distance of the practice area.

(Note that the only on-campus parking available for training camp visitors is in the lots marked on the map linked above.)

Let me know if you have any questions about parking/traffic or anything else regarding training camp! We're hoping to top last year's record-setting 77,000+ visitors this year! Hope to see you there! (You can ask your questions here in the thread, via PM or by email at [email protected].)

PS: If you live in the Spartanburg area, I'm still in need of a few volunteers (mostly "greeters" in the shuttle drop-off area). If you're interested, email me.

I'll be stuck at another team's training camp all summer. One day I will make it to Spartanburg.

Also, my 4-5 season streak of seeing the team play live is likely to come to an end this year :( Last year the only game I attended was the Super Bowl

Good?
