What is it About Bersin and Pre Season

when Philly got hurt in the Super Bowl, Bersin was on the field more, and got some passes thrown his way and he made no plays. 

And you're misconstruing that comment.  I didn't say it was a white WR fan club. I said the novelty of a white WR keeps the bersin fan club going. Novelty being the stressed idea, and Bersin being the descriptor of the fan club.

To be fair, most of the team minus philly and ealy didn't make many plays in the sb

Couldn't find drops stats, but he had zero catches and some passes thrown his way. Either he wasn't getting separation or he was dropping them.

So, "got some passes thrown his way, and he made no plays" has turned into....I can't provide any proof that what I was saying was true, but I'm spouting off anyway?

the bersin love fest thing always baffles me, first let me start by i am rooting for the guy, but people keep overrating him because he makes a couple 3rd down catches a year, that's not the issue, issue is he has seem to reach his ceiling. besides catching,i've seen little improvement in the other areas of his game, that's why he's constantly on the bubble to make the team. I'd rather give byrd/norwood the roster spot if bersin isn't showing he has progressed from last year, it's safe to say if bersin doesn't make the active roster and we need him during the season he'll be available which is great.

No one is having a "love fest" people do however trash him for no reason.  If he is better than Norwood, he should make the roster, it doesn't matter if he has progressed, it's about how much can you help the team this year.  If Norwood is better, he should make the team.

This is a discussion about our 5th WR....Bersin, Byrd, Hill, or Norwood...most likely....I don't care about progress, I want the best player on the team, whichever it may be.

their have been several times in the past two seasons where bersin has been outplayed and still made the roster over the better player. and it is a love fest if we're bringing up 9 catches or 13 for a reason to keep bersin. how much can a 5th wr help this year anyway? if you are that deep in the depth chart chances are your season is all but over anyway. progress is key, otherwise you get stuck with players like armanti edwards, fua,ect

Name them, in detail.

 

The reason we keep Bersin, is the same reason that this thread was made, he outplays the other WR's on the team that are trying to take his job, then rarely is needed during the season....just like almost every single no. 5 WR in the league.

 

P.S. you get stuck with Fua and AE when you draft them, not because they aren't progressing.  Is Kalil better than last season?  If he's not getting better, he's not progressing, hence he should be cut.

Lol proof. You said he makes plays when called upon, I pointed out a specific example of when exactly he failed to do that but *I* "can't provide any proof that what I was saying was true, but I'm spouting off anyway"?  You've been exposed. You're done.
